MGM has a partnership with Celebrity. MGM has been hacked. It basically shut their casinos down. I don’t know what information they have access to but be careful about about giving any info to anyone. If you get any emails or calls don’t give any info as it is probably a scam. I have taken advantage of the partnership to get status on their loyalty program and was able to save a lot on parking, resorts fees, and also reduced room rates. That was in 1969. We were there on our honeymoon. Corny but it was all we could afford at the time and it was only for 3 days. We drove from Detroit. We were able to walk at the bottom where the falls would have been. Picked up a rock as a souvenir that has long been lost like many other useless pieces of mementos. They “shut” the American Falls down with coffer damn built from dirt to study the erosion. I don’t know if it really helped or did anything. My understanding is that the Horseshoe Falls recedes about 3 ft per year. Eventually there will be no falls, just rapids. Way beyond any of our lives. Like the the glaciers that formed the Smoky Mountains. They receded way before I was born. Nature keep changing the landscape. The Maid of the Mist goes close to the Horseshoe Falls. It never goes under it as someone else mentioned. If it did it would sink from the force of the water. It would be worse than any tidal wave. We went on a tour that went behind the Horseshoe Falls at the bottom of it. It was a walking tour on a boardwalk. Don’t know if that is still available as the falls has receded a lot since then. Many years ago there was an attempt to have a raft ride for tourists down the Whirlpool Rapids. When visiting the Caribbean the people on those islands are always proud about their waterfall and trying to get you to go on a tour to see it. I am surprised that no one has suggested the smoked whitefish that is available in the northern cities of Michigan and Canada. If you still have a chance I would recommend trying some. If lucky they may serve it on board. I think you are right about that. It was another one of Kelly’s ideas. I think the heated fog free mirror was also removed also. Not sure about the foot stools that use to be on the S class If you read what is in AQ they added a yoga mat, and free exercise videos on the TV. The problem I found with shore excursions is that they are written to make you think you are getting more than what it consists of. If you read between the lines and especially after you went on the tour it is basically what they described. If that makes any sense. Read the description very carefully and don’t read more than what is in it. EX. You will see the only church on the island. It is what it reads. You will see it as you drive past. You won’t go into it. After getting burned on a few you get to know all of their deceptive tricks. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Years ago there was no fee or admission to enter the Grand Hotel. How many hotels charge you a fee to enter their lobby or go to the bar, or restaurant? Then it was decided since it was a tourist destination to walk on the worlds longest porch they could charge a fee. It started out as $5 pp. Their explanation was to keep all of the tourists from preventing their paying guests staying at the hotel to enjoy sitting on the porch. Just a curious question. What are you planning on doing at the beach? If it is just laying in the sun you can do that on board. I would recommend doing that. If you want to go into the water be sure to wear some water shoes. Many years ago I stepped on a sea urchin. I was very fortunate as I didn’t step fully on it. It felt like stepping on the bottom of a broken beer bottle. The bottom of my foot looked like pin cushion. It had a lot of little “slivers” that were broken off in it. Another time when at the beach we were sitting in some lounge chairs with our arms hanging down to the sand. When we got back to the ship we noticed tons of little bites that were about 1 ft high on our arms and legs and they itched. It was from sand fleas. If you want to snorkel take an excursion. We no longer go to any beach. I tell people there are 3 things I don’t like about a beach. The sand, sun, and water. 🤗. Part of the reason is we both had skin cancer due to our former beach, and boating days when we used baby oil and mercurochrome for sun tan lotion. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Will be following. We booked a MSC Yacht Club cabin for next Feb. only a short 3 day cruise. We want to get our feet wet before totally jumping in. One day later we will then be going on 2 Celebrity cruises in SS for a total of 19 days. We are close to Zenith but that doesn’t mean much if the product has gone bad. We have a 10 cruises booked on X and depending on our MSC compared to X experience we may just forfeit the $100 pp deposits we paid. Don’t need to throw more good money away to save what is already spent Hopefully your joint replacements have ended. I had a hip replaced and thought my problems were over. Nope! It seems as if things like to come in pairs. A year later the other hip. Now some knee issues, and back. I seen where the QB for ND had a part of his rib bone removed and they gave it to him. His mother made a necklace for him with it. I wish I would have asked for my hip joints. Would have made them into book ends, and Halloween decorations. It is always fun when going thru a metal detector. Especially if you start shaking like you are being electrocuted and the sparks are flying.😱🤗. Never make it thru without being called aside. The main thing to remember is when you have a dental appointment is to take the antibiotics. From what I see when booking there are suites that aren’t part of the Yacht Club. They don’t get the benefits or perks. It can get confusing. Just make sure it has Yacht Club in the description. You have to book a Yacht Club Cabin that could be inside or with a veranda. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅☹️

I booked cruises on other lines that are considered a step above X. . I have 10 cruises booked on X all in suites If my experiences on the other lines are better I will just bite the bullet and gladly forfeit the $100 pp service fee. Ironically those other cruises don’t cost about the same. It may result that I will end up thanking Celebrity for making me going outside the box and not being blind as a loyal cruiser, I only need a few more points for zenith. I don’t want to keep throwing away my hard earned dollars for an inferior product if that is want it has become. I don’t mind paying for quality but it appears as if it no longer there on Celebrity.. Ours was family style. The problem I have with that is taking too much or not enough. Family style to me is an awkward situation because of the utensils being used if you go for 2 nds because of what is left and you didn’t take enough or really liked it and also not being a hog. If all that is you are after you should have a great time. It is for a fun activity for everyone. It is a cruise ship. Doing that you may meet and become friends with others during that activity. You may also get some good laughs and entertainment watching others because of the conditions. We became great friends with another couple during a cabin crawl.
