Cruise Missing from Schedule
Ourusualbeach replied to FPP777's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Most likely just another website glitch. All categories available for sale on Cruising Power. Not even close to being sold out -
If cruises were booked by March 31, 2022 that sail before Sept 30, 2022 then Royal's policy under CWC was to allow for price drops up to 48 hours prior to the date of sailing in the form of OBC

Please explain the FCC situation
Ourusualbeach replied to sadiwest's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The downside to that is if you have a TA and move it into a group for the lower rate then you have to pay the full deposit amount as groups won't honor the reduced deposit. -

The incentive is the $100 OBC...if you know what you want to book. If you don't know then there isn't an incentive -
Please explain the FCC situation
Ourusualbeach replied to sadiwest's topic in Royal Caribbean International
What you are referring to is a Next Cruise. FCC is a future cruise credit that is issued for cancellations. A next cruise credit allows you to book a cruise for $100pp deposit (Junior suites and below, full deposit for GS and above). This is also a non refundable deposit booking. You will get an On Board Credit based on the cabin type and sailing length (7 day sailing in a balcony is a $100 OBC...total, not per person). You do not have to pick a ship and sail date immediately but if you do not choose one within 2 months you will lose the OBC and if you don't pick one within 12 months you lose your deposit. -
Did RCCL change their price drop policy?
Ourusualbeach replied to MandyMooToo's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I used the wrong term. I should have said price match as opposed to price drop. -
Did RCCL change their price drop policy?
Ourusualbeach replied to MandyMooToo's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Unfortunately not. The price drop guarantee means that Royal will only give you the lower price if it is posted on their website. They will not match travel agents prices -
Wow sale question plus C & A
Ourusualbeach replied to kimlet's topic in Royal Caribbean International
So they said...never happened. -
Wow sale question plus C & A
Ourusualbeach replied to kimlet's topic in Royal Caribbean International
No. That is an entirely different situation. In a group you are getting your balcony discount plus the group amenity and not the OBC or instant savings promo offered by Royal. The question that was asked was "is the C&A balcony discount combinable with the promos that Royal is offering...they are not. -
Wow sale question plus C & A
Ourusualbeach replied to kimlet's topic in Royal Caribbean International
C&A balcony discount is not combinable with instant savings or OBC offers from Royal. -
Wow sale question plus C & A
Ourusualbeach replied to kimlet's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Even booking through an agency you are not getting both. The balcony discount is not combinable with the WOW sale. What you may be getting is your balcony discount combined with OBC that the travel agent is offering. -
Royal Caribbean Cruise Insurance for 1 person?
Ourusualbeach replied to tx121's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Roysls insurance is sold by the person and not the cabin. It is based on each person's actual cruise fare. -
Booking multiple staterooms
Ourusualbeach replied to lovinthesea89's topic in Royal Caribbean International
You don't. There will be a $100 pp penalty accessed and the balance is returned as an FCC. -
Booking multiple staterooms
Ourusualbeach replied to lovinthesea89's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Refunds yes but if you booked a NRD rate then refunds come as an FCC and those go the the people listed on the booking regardless of who paid. -
Connecting cabins more expensive?
Ourusualbeach replied to driverandrews's topic in Royal Caribbean International
In that case it is because you were comparing a 2C which had the large balony that carries a premium over the regular balcony "D" cabins. Nearly all the connecting cabins were at one point D cabins with the regular size balcony. While the connecting carry a premium above the D category they are rarely priced above the C. -
Booking multiple staterooms
Ourusualbeach replied to lovinthesea89's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Each cabin gets its own reservation number. There is no way to put multiple cabins on one reservation. Only if you book a refundable deposit will the money come back to you. If you book the cheaper NRD fare and cancel there is a $100pp fee and the balance of the deposit gets issued as an FCC in the guests name. -
I have a feeling that I lucked out with getting unlinked. Actually it was more of not requesting to be linked after Royal had to create new C&A account numbers for all of us because of our accounts being corrupted when the kids turned 18 and everyone was listed under one e mail address

Not receiving Royal Up offers
Ourusualbeach replied to luckybecky's topic in Royal Caribbean International
If your TA has opted out it means that you cannot participate even on your own. -
Even though the dinners can be purchased using GAP Points that only applies to group bookings. Royal often does what they call pass through promotions with various travel agents where they offer dinner for two or gratuities, these are available for all bookings both group and FIT. Looks like its coming from the TA but Royal is funding it.

Guest Staying in other Room than assigned
Ourusualbeach replied to Gerbilicous's topic in Royal Caribbean International
You were given incorrect information about the pricing of group cabins. If the child will be under 2 you can keep that double occupancy cabin that is part of the group. You keep the group rate and they can add a third guest to it who must be able to sleep in a pack n play. You will be charged the same rate that the third guest pays on other cabins as well as the taxes and fees. While this will be more than moving someone to cabin "C" it will be a lot less than the price you were quoted on the different category outside of the group.
