Winter Schedule in Caribbean 2016?

When will the Caribbean sailings for December 2016 be on HAL website? Can't find anything beyond April 2016. Want to book a cruise for our 55th anniversary.

Yes, I did a search too and found the same ones.

None of these have the schedule for December 2016. Many say the same thing I did about nothing after April 2016.

Thanks. My little old brain is slow on the uptake sometimes and I didn't see what you were trying to get me to see in the other postings. :) I'll be watching for the sailings in August.

HAL is very slow this year getting out the schedules for itineraries beyond April 2016.

Some of the other cruise lines already have itineraries out for 2018!!

At the moment I'm happy. I don't think there will be huge changes from previous years so for most people it should not be too difficult to figure out when and where you want to go. I know I want to book the Konigsdam and the date and itinerary is out but bookings haven't opened. As long as they haven't opened the bookings I'm fine, nobody is going to get my choice of stateroom ahead of me.

And yes, I've already booked a 2018 cruise and a cruise that will be combined with the Konigsdam.

Yes and it sure does make it hard for long range planning. Unless we chose another cruise line!! But still have a FCC to use with HAL.

I know the Koningsdam is coming to the US in the fall of '16 as I am booked on that cruise.

Because the Koningsdam has 3 sailings in October 2016, one of which ends in November (in the US)? That is the latest Koningdam sailing on the schedule.

If the website is not allowing bookings for November 2016, how did you book yours?

I booked it on my recent cruise. I didn't pay attention to the dates, but I think it sails in October and ends in Ft. Lauderdale in November '16.

I do know I'll be home in time for Thanksgiving, but that's as much attention as I paid to the "when" aspect.

The HAL site currently (and I think has for a while) been open for bookings through the Transatlantic, but nothing after that. I was hopeful for a moment that my 2/19/17 Southern Caribbean sailing might be booked onboard before being generally opened but I don't think that will be the case.

Question for you HAL veterans --- when they open bookings, is it all at once or do they first offer it to certain groups of people (those already onboard or those with many past sailings)?

I'm eyeing a couple of dates and looking at Neptune Suites - and I'd guess the "best ones" go first.

Will there be any heads up from HAL or will they just suddenly appear on the website (meaning that I have to check and check and check)! :D

I called and spoke to a couple of booking reps. One said that the bookings are made available to everyone at the same time. The second one indicated that they sometimes will be available to those currently on a sailing just prior to the general public. That one also said that last year the winter Caribbean bookings (for '15/16) opened up on July 24, 2014 - and if that's any indication it could be another two months before these open up.

Of course, if I called and spoke to a third, I'd likely get yet another take on things ! :)

Due to HAL being so late in getting out their itineraries, I've had to sometimes book on other cruise lines. This happens when I'm limited to certain weeks/months due to work commitments.
