We thought Eurodam was our favorite ship, but....

Now we are certain of it!

We took a quick 7 day cruise out of FLL to the Western Caribbeanover Thanksgiving. This was our 3rd time sailing on Eurodam, for atotal of 40 days in all. Once again Eurodamhas proven that she has one of the best crews at sea. And the recent facelifthas her looking clean and refreshed.

Here’s a few of the reasons we love her:

· Quick & efficient embarkation anddisembarkation.

· Friendly crew

· Condition of the ship

· Never felt crowded

· No waits at restaurants for open seating anddining was at a comfortable pace

· Pleasant fellow cruisers

· Extra touches (such as Mariner Reception onembarkation day)

· Waitstaff circulating the Lido to providebeverages or assistance

· Great bartenders in Crow’s Nest and a nice happyhour crowd

· Digital Workshop classes were good andaccessible

Things happen when sailing on a ship. I think we all get that. But how these things are handled is truly theissue. Here are some examples:

Embarkation- Therewere 7 ships in Port Everglades when we arrived. Our shuttle took us past the craziness of theother 5 ships boarding Sunday, and then past the relatively calmer boardingarea in front of Koningsdam. When wearrived at Eurodam the scene was controlled and orderly. We literally walked straight up to the deskwith no wait.

In minutes we were ushered up to the lounge and werenotified that there would be a delay due to a Coast Guard drill. Updates were provided periodically so no onewas left wondering what was happening. There was ample seating, A/C, ice cold water & rest rooms so it wasa comfortable wait. Boarding startedjust after noon as we were told to expect, and we were on board at lunch in thedining room in a blink.

Plumbing Issue-There was a problem in the whole section of our deck in the wee hours onemorning. We called. It was fixed in a reasonable amount of timeand there was no repeat problem.

And that’s pretty much it for issues. Everything else was smooth sailing. Even disembarkation was one of the fastestever. Our slot was “walk off 8:30- 9:00AM” and they called us a little early. There was no line at all. We just walked straight up to the ship’s exitand were 2nd in line at customs. In and out.

We’re already thinking about when to sail her again.
