toban Posted June 12, 2010 #201 Share Posted June 12, 2010 How about adults with depends. Should they be allowed in the pool/hot tub? No. Same reason as children are not allowed.
toban Posted June 12, 2010 #202 Share Posted June 12, 2010 In the privacy of your own home sure no problem... however in front of other cruisers I say it is not proper manners JMO At home I lift my cereal bowl to drink the remains of the milk at the bottom but I would not do that in a restaurant. Imagine an entire dining room doing that. Yuck !!!!
Denny01 Posted June 12, 2010 #203 Share Posted June 12, 2010 I know this was not directed at me, but I want to assure you, specifically, that I would never cross anyone named Mrs.Mobster as that infers that there is a Mr. Mobster. Its Ok to put down someone named 'Poppy' but dont cross a 'Mrs Mobster'? I think I understand, but might be nice not to put down a 'Poppy' either. But now we have a Mrs Mobster and now a Mobster75 - I'm changing my name to "Killerforhire" or maybe "Ihaterudepostsandkillforfun'. Denny

She is a total cutie pie:D Denny, hope you and Mrs decide to go on CENTURY next May. toban Posted June 12, 2010 #205 Share Posted June 12, 2010 Yes, especially when the kid is 2 1/2 and can walk and say full sentences. Time to put the breast away. As long as she is offering her breast to her own child, I dont think you should be so concerned about it. Gross ?? I think not. Like another poster who thinks its ok to give themselves needles in the dining room said - "if you're squeamish - LOOK AWAY".

Gracie115 Posted June 12, 2010 #208 Share Posted June 12, 2010 So, something as natural as breast-feeding a baby is Gross? Inappropriate, yes, but gross? Really. When the kid is TWO AND A HALF YEARS OLD....YES it's GROSS & INAPPROPRIATE!!

Ma Bell Posted June 12, 2010 #210 Share Posted June 12, 2010 Then Mom says "have a breadstick and I'll be with you after dinner". If the child is old enough to ask, he's old enough to learn about a little patience.
msmarvel Posted June 12, 2010 #211 Share Posted June 12, 2010 I agree. DH and I always amazed at how many grandfathers we see escorting their granddaughters on vacations. That made me laugh out loud!! I'm going on my 4th cruise in November, on the Summit. I really hope that I still won't have anything to contribute to this thread after that! Now, if the thread was "What is the grossest thing you ever saw in Paris", I'd have a few things to add. :D

conchead Posted June 12, 2010 #213 Share Posted June 12, 2010 Well after reading all 11 pages of this thread, it makes me happy to say that I have never seen 90% of this on Carnival. I guess maybe what they say about Carnival having more young folks is true, but at least they can find restrooms, and aren't pooping all over the place.:D

Lots of condom and drunken stupor descriptors. Let's be real - anytime you get 3-6,000 people together there will be some humans behaving outside the accepted norm (whatever that is). Cruise Arizona Posted June 13, 2010 #219 Share Posted June 13, 2010 It is the responsibility of the nursing mother to be discreet. I nursed both of my kids for about 9 months each, and no one ever so even part of my breast. Its called a blanket!!!! It works in McDonalds, or even a fancy sit down place, or maybe even an MDR. Nothing wrong with nursing till you and your child are ready to call it quits, but I can't imagine an scenario where I would be appropriate to expose a full breast in public. Women can nurse with out exposing themselves. I'll chime in with the theme of the entire thread and say that I can't think of anything that comes to mind as especially gross, other than someone said the foam on the top of the hot tubs comes from dead skin. Needless to say the hot tub at the time looked like the kitchen sink ready for the dishes after Christmas Dinner.

I guess maybe what they say about Carnival having more young folks is true, but at least they can find restrooms, and aren't pooping all over the place.:D There's certainly something to be said for that but given the stereotype about Carnival being the party boats, I'd imagine that finding puddles of puke might be equally as abundant and perhaps no less "gross". sarplum Posted June 13, 2010 #225 Share Posted June 13, 2010 We were on our balcony on the Connie awaiting embarkation when we spotted several younger people trying to get back on time. One girl was so drunk she almost fell off the pier. Two of her companions barely grapped her in time. We laughed but it also was rather gross to be so drunk in the afternoon.
