So how many sea days do you have???

Recommended Posts

I have been reading the threads re the changes to the tiers in the C&A programme with interest. Everyone is volunteering their current credit status but not one person mentions their total sea days/nights. I for one can't wait if this is going to be the criteria as it is by far the fairest way.

We have been away for a month on Adventure for 24 nights (B2B2B) and Monarch for 4 nights, our cruise credit history is up to date showing these recent sailings.

We had a fab time on Monarch and met some lovely people, a lot of whom were Floridian top cruisers with RCI i.e over 100 credits, they had all recently been on the Allure freebie 2 nighter due to their C&A status . Out of curiosity I would have loved to have known their actual sea nights sailed and wondered if we would have been anywhere near. I counted ours today and they total 394 nights at sea with RCI.

So, how many sea days do you all have ?

And you know what's amazing?

Mario has more CRUISE CREDITS than we (Patti, Kathy & I) all have nights at sea!!!!!!

But I wonder how many nights he(and the other top people) actually have.......wont they be upset(not naming names) if they really dont qualify to Pinnacle..

Mario spends A LOT of time on the Liberty - those are 7 night cruises at least. (he had cruised 82 times on her as of 6/25!)

He posted this SIX MONTHS AGO;

This is Mario Salcedo responding to your June 6 Liberty cruise review.

As noted in your summary section, I had the distinct pleasure and honor to celebrate my 300th cruise credit

onboard Liberty that particular week.

I want to say congratulations on a well-documented, informative, interesting, and balanced write-up.

I enjoyed reading it thoroughly.

The Liberty holds a special place in my heart. I have sailed her 82 times

and can tell you that Captain Charles Teige, officers, staff, and crew all

make the Liberty the best ship in the fleet !

I'm glad you and your family had a wonderful cruise vacation on Liberty.

Now I would like to provide you some information to augment your

mathematical attempt at quantifying the number of actual cruises I have taken :

- First Royal Caribbean cruise taken in Dec 1998.

- Reached Diamond status (ie, 10 cruise credits) in Oct 2001.

- Reached Diamond Plus status (ie, 24 cruise credits) in Jan 2004.

- Reached 100th cruise credit milestone in Apr 2007.

- Reached 200th cruise credit milestone in Jun 2009.

- Reached 300th cruise credit milestone in Jun 2010 (sailing with you !)

- NONE of my actual cruises have been 12 nights or longer.

- 80% of my actual cruises have been 7 days or longer, but none over 12

days.

- 70% of my actual cruises have been on standard balcony or lower

category, and 30% on suite category.

I'm sure with your engineering background you can now calculate the

total number of actual cruises taken on RC and the resulting average per year.

(Note - the average for the past 6.5 years is significantly different

than the overall average).

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Mario Salcedo

(aka "Super Mario")

I believe that on another thread, we mentioned that we now have 725, and with the new count system coming up, we can add 14 more shortly.

Thare are quite a few that have more than us, and if we can count all of the cruise lines, we have just over 1050 cruise nights!

Merry Christmas to everyone!!:)

Rick

My cruise history on the RCCL site is odd. The first cruise listed with an actual date is a Monarch cruise, July 1992. All of the cruises prior that just say Nov 5, 1970...no ship name, no itinerary...and 1 cruise credit. There are 8 cruises listed like this. Does anyone else have something like that? How can those be counted correctly?

RCI officially updated our Cruise History today. We are D+ !

If I counted my sea days accurately, we only have 150. That would keep us at Diamond under the "new" proposed plan (discussed on the other thread). If what has been reported comes true, we will keep our D+ status and not need to reach the new D+ goal of 175 sea days.

Merry Christmas to you all and all the best for 2011.

Sorry folks I mustn't have had my maths head on last night :).

It is currently 364 not 394 for us as previously stated , BUT by the time 2011 rolls out we will be at 418 with our current booked cruises ;):D.
