All Things Adventure of the Seas

You probably won't see the pictures until you get back! I will get a couple of pictures. I normally don't take my camera in to dining with me, but I want to see/share the new Chops as well since its not in the same location as the other Voyager Class or Freedom class.

Nope I probably wont. But at least this ship has the freestyle coke machines now :)

I missed not having them last cruise. I take my camera everywhere . I don't take half as many pictures as I did at the beginning , I still take alot

Pure speculation here...I am curious if they will start refurbing some of the rooms when AOS starts going out of Ft Lauderdale? Perhaps all the materials for the shortened dry dock are still sitting in FLA after the hurricane and they are going to slowly start installing them? Maybe that is why they swapped out AOS and FOS this year?

We have two Adventure cruises planned so we'll see!

I am guessing the "rest of" the "postponed but still planned" revitalization will be done before it starts the NJ/FL run. There is a range of dates (20 days) between it debarking the last SJU run and when it arrives in NJ. I am guessing that time frame will be used for the revitalization.

Yes You will have a concierge. These are the suite services:

Priority check-in

Personalized attention throughout the cruise with complimentary Concierge Club service on select ships

Reserved prime seating in the main theater for entertainment shows, where available

Priority tender tickets on select cruises. (Tender service is provided when smaller vessels are necessary to reach shore in locations without docking ports large enough for cruise ships.)

VIP pool deck seating, where available

Full breakfast, lunch and dinner dining room menus available for in-room dining

Private breakfast and lunch seating in specialty restaurants on our Voyager and Freedom Class ships

Complimentary luggage valet service

Luxury spa bathrobes for use onboard

Complimentary pressing service on formal night

Priority departure with exclusive suite* departure lounge featuring continental breakfast

That is the "general" suite benefits for RC....here are just a few "specifics" relating to AD (typically....but always "subject to change"):

The VIP pool seating is available.

The concierge is generally there 8:00 - 11:00 am and 5:00 - 8:30 pm.

Continental breakfast in CL from 8:00-10:00 am and cocktail hour (with snacks) 5:00 - 8:00 and whole fruit/cookies available from 11:00-2:00 (or so). The coffee machine (specialty coffees) is availabe 24 hours a day...except usually it is shut down the last morning.

Breakfast is served in the specialty restaurant but lunch is not served and they typically do not have it open even for overflow seating.

Adventure has some really good prices on Canada/New England for summer 2018 at the moment! Just in case anyone is interested.

We got a corner aft balcony for only $130 per person per day (3 people, taxes included). That is much less than any other balcony on any other ship (other cruiselines included) doing that itinerary, which run over $200 per person per day.

We had been waiting on the Canada/New England, and on the first day saw the great prices on Anthem, but after finding the one way to Quebec City, with an extra night thrown in, booked one on Adventure ourselves. Great price! [emoji1360]

Hello Ocean Boy,

So then you recommend this? We are considering this as well since our flight leaves later in the day. Please advise.

Thank you

Absolutely. It is very conveniently located in the center of Old San Juan and very secure. They have a dedicated room that they keep the luggage in. We feel very comfortable using them.

My son's family of 8 ( and I ) will be doing B2B cruises next Feb/Mar. They're planning some non RC excursions that require payment in cash. Because there's 8 of them it will require quite a bit of cash for some excursions. If they put money in their OBC account before the cruise can they go to guest services the night before the excursion and get cash off their account ? Or could they take travelers cheques and cash them at guest services when they need cash ? Just wondering about best way to do this. Any suggestions?

The easiest way is to just take the cash. OBC cannot be retrieved from Guest Services until the last night. You could go to the casino for a casj advance, but that would cost 5%. Travelers checks would work, though there are limits:

OK, so if they didn't want to carry a lot of cash on board with them they could cash up to $950. worth of travelers cheques per day. I'm sure they won't need to do that each day but the option is there if they wanted to cash $500 a few different days. Thanks for clarifying the OBC part. :)

Hello everyone. Quick question about the studio cabins added/ in the process of being added on deck 2.

Any idea of whether they will just be a regular studio, or do they normally add a virtual view to newly built studio cabins? Crossing my fingers for the latter!
