Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but Ingrid Fiebak has some nice photos of the North Star arriving at a dock. I guess that's where it will be outfitted on the Quantum?

First i've seen of them, thanks for posting. Wonder what the metal cylinder on the top of the capsule is for. Could be the air conditioning system, i'm sure it has it's own as it would be rather difficult to pipe from the ship. I also noticed some wind monitoring devices on the capsule, could be a fail safe that if it hits a certain level the system take over and automatically returns the capsule to it's based and shuts down.

Quantum in now approaching Bremerhaven Eurogate terminal for North Star installation. She is scheduled to arrive at 10 am local time. you can find the schedule on the Eurogate webside.

Doesn't look like any of the cams have a view....

 

Marinetraffic still shows it's docked too.

 

 

The webcam atop the hotel (see map) is just too far away unfortunately.

Geee! That was fast. Im glad I got to see them before they disappeared. Hope they are not back to the secrecy stuff all over again.

Smaller compared to renderings, maybe but not the model we saw in Hamburg.:)

Can't thank you enough for all you are doing to keep us posted with new pictures. Can't wait till you sail to see completed inside pics!!

 

Oh, I'm not big on taking photos and posting them, just posting photos and videos forward (Like paying it forward, but with photos).:D

 

Yup. I will post most of my photos (on Facebook) - Remind me to make them Public so you can see them! Mind you, you'll see completed inside photos from the travel agents and media who will be sailing from Southampton, UK two days before the transatlantic cruise. I'll have to check them out on a computer at the hotel!

 

Thank goodness for social media and the people who like to post on it!! I bet the construction of the Titanic didn't get this many photo postings!
