On a bus trip up to Mt Dalsnibba from Geiranger....

"I don't like going uphill on a bus. I hope it isn't uphill on the way back"

"You don't get sea days on a land vacation"

" Why are all the road signs in a foreign language? How am I supposed to know where I am?"

"There's snow up there. It must be cold"

In Blu restaurant....

"My friend told me that the food has gone downhill in Blu. She's right" (later conversation revealed it was her first Celebrity cruise)

In Oceanview Cafe.....

"I hate the fact I put on weight on a cruise" (spoken by a lady as she sat down with a plate of 12 cookies and proceeded to eat them all)

" They should make sure there's a table for us whenever we want to eat"

" They always make me the same omelet..... They should make me something different" (as we know, omelets are made to order with a large variety of options)

Photo Gallery

"I don't look that fat do I?"

Around the ship

"I don't like this Captain.... He makes the ship rock too much"

People are so funny!!!

YES!! Very funny stuff. Appreciate your sharing. Sounds like things people would actually say, but not fully thinking out the meanings.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

The Celebrity excursion to Mt. Dalsnibba had people who started screaming hysterically when the bus started to ascend the hairpin curves and it had to turn back and let them off. One wonders how they thought they were going to get to the top of that very high mountain. Fortunately, we were on a private excursion and missed the drama.

Based on something similarly funny that I read here, sometimes when we are waiting a long time for an elevator, like outside the buffet on 14, DH will ask, "Should we go over to the other bank of elevators?" to which I will reply, "Oh no, those only go up. We need these that go down."

I related a couple of times the story of a woman pushing a stroller and her husband who got on the elevator with my wife and I many years ago. As we were heading up in the elevator she complained loudly to her husband that the elevator should be made to only go in one direction. She kept complaining, husband wanted to find someplace to hide and wife and I were trying not to laugh. We got out of the elevator, went around the corner and busted out laughing.

My reaction here is actually dismay, that someone like that would reproduce.

Assuming, of course that she had a child in the stroller, not a Chihuahua dressed in nautical gear

This is the best one I have heard. While watching the World Series in the Casino Lounge the signal kept cutting in and out. Someone bellowed out "they must have cable!". At first it seemed funny but after he kept complaining and seemed serious it got scary!

While at the excursion desk I noted the young womans nametag. It read, Cindy, USA.

I told her that she was the first American I'd seen on the ship.

She responded, "You're not very observant. I see them everywhere."

"Last year we took an Around the World Cruise. Next year we want to go somewhere different."

About that shore excursion for Geirangerfjord - brought back an almost-forgotten memory. I was on a North Cape Cruise in 1983 and my bus seat by the window seemed to be hanging over the edge of the highway with a sheer drop below. Some nice person gave me a Valium which made the rest of the day much more relaxing.
