How to get MLife to match your RCI status?

Recommended Posts

We are Diamond on RCI and want our status matched to Gold with MLife. We are going to Vegas in 2 weeks. I have written to comments@mlife.com and had not response. I called the MLife phone number and was told the supervisor could do that and I would get Gold status. 2 days later....nothing. How do you get them to align your status???? I need it done soon. Thank you!

I talked with MLife last week asking the same thing. They told me that your tier with Royal Caribbean does not coincide with MLife. I had read somewhere that if you proved you were Diamond that MLife would bump your status. Not sure what to show MLIfe regarding status - Seapass?

I took a print out of my RCCL C&A status to the MLife desk when in Vegas and they confirmed it when I pulled up my account on my phone and issued me a Platinum level card right on the spot.

We took our last sea pass cards to Borgata which showed us as Diamond Plus. Immediate upgrade to Platinum at the card center. Lots of benefits at Borgata -- free parking, entrance to their high-roller club with buffet and best of all -- separate area to check in. The last time we were there the lines to check in were crazy. The platinum card saved us at least an hour in line.

Same is true for the new MGM at National Harbor (Baltimore). Just having complimentary valet parking was worth it. We have never stayed on the property (prices are still WAAAYTOOO high...that, and the fact that we live 40 mins away) but one day we may stay there just to say we did.

Have you checked priced while logged in with your new mlife status? I was able to book a nice suite in Vegas for about 30% less than the best rate I could find elsewhere.

My husband and I have both jointed Mlife and when we were on our recent RCI cruise, went to see the Casino Host to enquire about linking our C & A status (Emerald at the time but now Diamond) to our Mlife membership, he didn't know what we were talking about (or so he said) and told us to go see the Loyalty Ambassador. So we did this, she wasn't sure what we were talking about either and gave us Casino Royale numbers.

We aren't sure what to do now, we are going to Vegas in August this year (from Australia) but want to get this sorted before so we can book accommodation in Vegas at the best price possible.

The printout of MGM Resorts Partnership from RCI says Emerald and Diamond can get room discounts and comped rooms, does this happen very often?

We also have points to use with the MyVegas game on the computer can we combine the two or only use one or the other?

Hope you understand what I am talking about, we are new to this (although between us we have over 400,000 gold coins on MyVegas).

I have sent an email to Mlife but if I haven't heard anything from them in the next few days I will probably give them a ring - is the 866 7617111 number a free call from Australia?

Thanks, Karen

Yes, 1-866-761-7111 is the correct toll free number and I assume it would work from Australia with the proper country code prefix. If that does not work their email address is memberservices@mgmresorts.com. You should contact them to make sure they have your correct “Diamond” status. The linking of the accounts while onboard is supposed to enable you to earn mLife points while gambling onboard, but few casino hosts are familiar with the process.

I was in Vegas in January for CES. I took a copy of my C&A page showing I was Emerald to the Mlife desk at Aria and within a couple minutes I was presented a Gold Mlife card. I wasn't able to take advantage of the perks (other than the 20% bonus on points and comps) since we were staying downtown.

When I called MGM today, I was told they stopped doing status match over the phone and are now doing it by email. The email address is mlifeadjustment@mgmresorts.com. Include your C&A and MLife membership numbers.

Thanks for the info! Had it on my list to call this week, so will send an email instead.

Just an fyi when we went to vegas in August I took my last sea pass card but they would not accept that as proof i had to pull up my status online to show them. They upgraded my status at mirage it was pretty easy.

You do not get comped rooms unless you gamble. You can get some discounts but that is also based on how often you go to Vegas. Whether you are CET or Mlife, coin in gets you the comped rooms and freeplay. We are Mlife platinum and there are a few tricks that you can to achieve the next level. This is our first RCL cruise. They gave us $200 OBC with our purchase but since we are Mlife platinum, We also received an additional $200 OBC.

I tried the email and it was returned.  This week I called MLife and the match was done over the phone.  The rep put me  on hold and called RC to verify my status.  She came back and said my status was verified and I have been upgraded to gold status.  I can pick up a new card in any casino.

Though I have used my RCI D+ status to get a Platinum card for the MGM properties, a better deal room rate wise can be had by using the MGM card to get a tier match , when available, through  the Total Rewards program with the Caesars  properties. I have gotten quite a few comped night rooms and they waive the resort fees and the Diamond level.

BTW, I am not a big time gambler and just taking advantage of what is available

I’ve been meaning to report back but having trouble with the site...anyway, sent the email and got a response within 48 hours. Unfortunately, they would only match diamond status to Mlife gold (which I was already based on points). While I understand this is the correct match, they gave us platinum status last year on the phone!  Oh well, all the more reason to get to diamond plus!

cheers,

Not true.   A few years ago while in Vegas we went to the casino and got platinum MLife cards after they verified our D+ status with Royal.  Last week we were booking a trip to Vegas for a few days after Christmas and when I logged in to MLife it showed me as the lowest level (can't remember what it's called.)    I called to ask about that and they said the matching status has to be reset every year on or after 9/30.   She verified my D+ status over the phone and within a day or so my MLife status was updated when I logged in online and I booked our room.

I play a little blackjack but we aren't really big gamblers.  We mainly enjoy the MLife status for room discounts, priority check-in, front of line status at some of the restaurants, that kind of thing.    Ex. I was at Mirage a couple years ago with some girlfriends and the regular check-in line was a mile long, but I was able to walk right up to the platinum check-in desk to check in, AND get a room that was already available; it was around noon and official check-in is usually 4:00 so several of our friends had to wait for their room to be ready.

I just wanted to let everyone know what might have changed in the past 14 months (since the last post).  I emailed this morning to request the status match adjustment.  I received the following reply:

Good morning,

Thank you for contacting M life Member Services. In order to be Tier matched with Royal Caribbean, you must be present at an M life destination. We are not able to provide assistance for Tier match over the phone or by email as you must be present with your photo ID for security purposes. we apologize for any inconvenience.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best Regards,

Based on this email, they do not do phone or email matches anymore.  Has anyone been successful in doing either in the past few months?

I was travelling to Vegas in November '19 and I had heard that all status matches reset on Oct 1.  I had a match back in 2017 and wanted to see if they would re-match.  I emailed on Oct 16th, received the generic "We will check with RCI and get back to you in 24-48 hours" message the same day, had no response so I replied on Oct 25th, and they responded on Oct 25th and applied my match.

Overall I saved $10 for parking in the garage for one day.  😄

We just got back from Vegas.  Had a small hassle getting our match - called before we left and the rep said they were only doing it via email now.  So sent an email to the address the person provided and got an reply that the we needed to show up in person and show ID.  When in Vegas, stopped at a mLife desk and they looked at ID, had me pull up status on my phone, then printed the new cards.  Only had to show my status and they did cards for both me and my wife.

Since we had to go to mlife anyway to get myVegas awards, wasn't a big deal, but wish they'd get their story straight!
