Do you complete the survey and what insights do you pay particular care of sharing?

I started to input some details about our dinner at Sabatini's and the survey noted there was another place to input.. so I stopped and the bam I got to the end of the survey without providing that info. I was disappointed I could not go back and enter that feedback.

That's happened to me once or twice so I made a copy of each group of questions they ask so I know when to list my complaints or praises.

As long as they don't change the questionnaire I'm set for the next cruise.

Sometimes I think they did it on purpose. ;)

Yes, but we only complete one for the two of us. The survey is really the best way to get Princess to pay attention your positive and negatives about the cruise and about the ship itself.

When rating, if you rate in the low or middle then a box appears for further comments. If you rate excellent there is no additional box for comments, you have to make them at the end as general comments.

We never rate any question that pertains to a crew member or a small group of crew members low or make any negative comments directly about a crew member or a small group of crew members that could be traced back to them. At the end there is a place for positive comments about specific crew members and my understanding is that these comments go directly to their managers.

Yes, we both do the survey. I've had some very complimentary things to say about a few crew members. I also had a very negative comment regarding boarding in San Pedro in February. It was horrible.

Certainly! And I am not shy about praising crew members by name or reporting less than satisfactory service.

The only real negatives I have reported are Wheehouse bands that don't play dance music and once a Cruise Director, Sami Baker, who actively discouraged dancing. What's up with that. We thereafter cancelled a 31 day cruise around South America when we discovered she would be the Cruise Director and wrote to Princess and explained why we cancelled. We met another couple who did take that cruise that didn't have any bridge on the cruise because Sami didn't want to make her people work over the holidays. What? If they don't want the crew to work over the holidays, they shouldn't sell cruises over the holidays.

Oh yes, I alps once reported that the Princess veggie burgers I were the world's worst and suggested that the Chef go to Safeway, buy a pack of frozen veggie burgers and try to copy them. Of course I always rave about the pizza. :)

This poster is kinder than I am. My mother taught us that if we did not have anything nice to say about someone, not to say anything. But when a company is asking my opinion in a survey, I give it. I don't like to artificially inflate the numbers. If someone isn't doing a good job, then the people in charge need to know. I try to back up my opinion with specifics. I used to hate the spiel waiters would give us toward the end of the cruise about rating everything to do with food "excellent." We haven't had so much of that since Princess started sending out the email surveys.

Yes. The good, the bad and the ugly.

If a Princess employee is rude or not doing their job, Princess needs to know about it. They can't correct what they don't know. The first thing to do is to speak to their supervisor while still onboard. I always give specifics because as I'm sure you all have seen in CC posts, "the xxx sucked" isn't helpful to anyone. Guess I'm just trained to give the who, how, what, where and when if possible.

Yes, we always complete our surveys. We make sure to point out the people who we felt made our cruise experience special or who seemed to do their jobs exceptionally well. Fortunately, we have never had a bad experience with any crew members that would encourage us to name them on the survey.

We also indicate what areas could be improved upon to make our next cruising experience even better.

We only complete one for the two of us as well - but they need to have a check box or something confirming the response is for a couple - otherwise the other spouse then gets bombarded with "did you forget to complete your survey " requests :(

They are disgusting. I tried one just to see what people were talking about and they really are terrible. They'd be better off frying up some veggies & slapping them on a bun. ;)

Yes we always do and are honest. Like Pam, if it's a problem, the survey isn't the first time I'm mentioning it as I will have already reported it while on board. I have reached out separately to the Casino and Customer Service areas via email when someone has gone over and above what I expected. And once I wrote to Customer Service on a series of issues we encountered on a cruise in a suite. They called me back the next day and we had a very long conversation, and definitely let us know they were concerned about what we reported.

I completed one survey, and when my wife tried to submit hers, the system wouldn't take it, said we'd already submitted one.

My main complaints were:

1. People in the MDR don't wish to be badgered with sales pitches for wine tastings, up to three or four times during the same dinner.

2. A tour was inaccurately described in the excursions brochure.

Result: I have no idea whether cruisers are still enduring sales pitches while trying to enjoy their dinner, but I know the offending tour still carries an erroneous description. I guess it sells better if you say it goes to a working winery instead of a store.

I always complete mine but find they are too vague. Sometimes I'd like to make a comment about a great shore excursion or the not so great piano player but there is no actual place to do that on the survey. Anything else you'd like to add is too broad - jostle my memory a little! I would rather have one that lists the different services (casino, shops, entertainment, embark, debark, etc.) with beside it to fill in to rate it (excellent to poor). Further along could be a comment section and wouldn't be much longer than the current survey. I find it focuses too much on listing any crew that went above and beyond - something I'm finding hard to find lately.

I agree, not a very good format.

All of us who were disappointed in the veggie burger should mail Jan Swartz a box of Morningstar veggie patties. Maybe once the postman wheeled a forklift full of boxes of frozen food into her office, she'd get the message. . .
