Guess I also missed all the "no US listed" comments earlier in the thread:o I read the early part only and posted later. Then I noticed that everyone who knew about it appeared to be non-US posters.

Can you still use your OBC for Specialty Restaurants?

Will the Casino give you cash back on OBO?

Ray

Hi Ray

Yes to use of OBC for Specialty Restaurants and Officially No to getting money from OBC out of the Casino but reports as short as a week ago state that it is still possible with a 5% fee. Other reports indicate that some ships are denying cashing in of OBC. I guess one will have to suck it and see when you get onboard. It appears that X are trying to close this loophole especially with non refundable OBC

When you first board, go to guest relations and ask if they are giving bridge tours. We have done this on most of our cruises and they are very accommating! Always have gotten to tour the bridge. Very interesting!!

Wow! Do you think it matters if you are elite, etc.?

Wow! Do you think it matters if you are elite, etc.?

The last time we cruised I inquired to the elite contact, let her know we were interested in any event like bridge tour or helipad sailaway.

We got didley squat!

I did have tv on during sailaway one day and saw the helipad party!

Elite is very subjective!

It might have been for suite guests or even Elite Plus.

Yes: Suites, Zenith and Elite+ get invites to the helipad, if it is happening. Since there seems to be a million suite guests, it can be quite large groups. But, I've seen times when the Elite were invited. I would talk(kiss up)to the Captain's Club Host, if I was Elite and really wanted to go.

Not always Elite. We were invited because we were B2B on one cruise. We were not elite.

We are elite and were invited to the sail-a-away from Stockholm on our recent Baltic cruise. Amazing views, but the event was short lived, even though the transit of the fiords lasted for 4 hrs. We transferred to the Sky lounge on deck 14 after the party broke up, where we actually had better views.

Yes, I have received some benefits for being a B2B passenger, - comp lunch in specialty restaurant and a free half day shorex. I suppose they wanted us off the ship for a few hours.:D

Did Choice Air for the first time for a westbound transatlantic cruise. Will use Choice Air for all future cruises after my experience. My flight over to Europe was oversold and to protect me on a flight, Choice Air double booked me on another flight to Europe to ensure I was not involuntarily denied boarding.

There's a helipad sail away party? Is this by invite only, and do they do it on every cruise/ship?

Seems 'neverbeenhere' has answered your query, see the CD when you first board.:D
