kruisey Posted January 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2016 Customer Relations at Princess Cruises will not give it me.They state they are the highest I can go. I have an ongoing dispute which can only be resolved from the top. Thank you in advance.:)
sail7seas Posted January 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2016 I have never had a reason to e-mail to Princess but given common corporate e-mail address patterns, I'd try Jswartz@princess.com or Jswartz@princesscruises.com. Nothing to lose. If it bounces back, at least you tried. Of course, if it does go through, don't expect it will be read by her/him but probably by an assistant. If your issue catches their attention, it could be moved forward.

Rare Keith1010 Posted January 24, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 24, 2016 Always wise to ask the cruise line specific questions on the cruise line board. Keith
Pawling43 Posted October 19, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 19, 2017 I'm sure many of you have experienced what has happened to us. We booked Crown Princess for Dec 9th sailing - paid $1149 for balcony - directly thru Princess - and now it's being advertised online for $849!! Now as you can see, that is a huge $300 per person difference. I did email Jan Swartz at Princess Cruises and we shall see if I receive a response. Any other ideas in case I do not hear from them? Thanks Pawling43

Thanks Pawling43 This is very common on all lines. After final payment they have to sell any remaining cabins. They will run sales and reduce prices until the ship is full. As an example I am booked on Crown next month. Once my casino cash and On Board credit is added in they are paying me 25.00 to cruise.
Pawling43 Posted October 19, 2017 #14 Share Posted October 19, 2017 Thanks Patty, but I would think that with the huge following here of the thousands of cruisers that the lines would want to keep people happy and adjust the fares accordingly. Doesn't matter if you have a senior executive's e-mail, home phone number, or a video of her doing lines at her desk. If you fight like mad you may get an upgrade if any cabins in a higher category are available. But don't count on even an OBC. You chose to book early in order to get the cabin location, dining preference, and access to other onboard reservations earlier than those booking at the last minute. That is certainly one of the reasons last minute bookings go for cheap. Oh, and by the way, since this thread was first started Jan Swartz is no longer president of Princess Cruises but Group President of Princess and Carnival Australia. The most senior executive with domain over Princess Cruises is now Stein Kruse, CEO of the newly-formed Holland America Group (which covers Princess, Holland America, Seabourn, and P&O Australia). Corporate restructure done the beginning of this year--so be careful when bumping a nearly two year old thread that is not even on the board you need to be on. fishywood Posted October 19, 2017 #17 Share Posted October 19, 2017 really? Princess email to me as of October 18 2017 has Jan's signature as Jan Swartz President Princess Cruises All that means is that the IT department hasn't updated the signature box on mass e-mails. http://www.carnivalcorp.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=200767&p=irol-govmanage Princess Cruises no longer has an autonomous ruling executive. They are governed under the umbrella of the Holland America Group. Stein Kruse is the group's CEO. Jan Swartz reports to him as Group President of Princess and Carnival Australia. The title "President, Princess Cruises" no longer exists on the Corporate website (link provided above).

If the price had gone up $300 pp would you be willing to pay the difference? If not, then don't ask for them to reduce the price for you under the same circumstances. Rare Hlitner Posted October 20, 2017 #20 Share Posted October 20, 2017 I'm sure many of you have experienced what has happened to us. Thanks Pawling43 Ok, please do not take this personal but you are an idiot (I do say that with a smile). Why? Because you must be an idiot to book direct with nearly any cruise line....unless you later transfer the booking to a reputable cruise agency (and usually save 7-10%). But, your complaint is just as valid as one who purchases an airline fare...only to later see a better deal (you are out of luck). Or you buy a car...and a few months later you see that same car on sale with a big rebate! Too bad. The norm in the cruise industry is to offer some very good deals, after the final payment period, for new bookings. And that is the way it should be. Those who gamble and wait until the last minute will sometimes score a great deal (you would not believe the deal we got on next week's Regal Princess cruise...that we just booked on Tuesday). So, go whine to a cruise line executive (who will never see your complaint). If you had a decent cruise agency/agent....they might be able to at least get you some kind of On Board Credit or perhaps an upgrade. But when you book direct...you are on your on. And by the way,....the deal we got with a last minute Regal Princess booking is less then half what some early bookers paid for the same cruise. But, we did run the risk of not getting a deal on that cruise (so we would have simply booked another cruise...perhaps with a different cruise line). If you want to play the last minute game...then you have to get in the game. But if you want to book further in advance, you are agreeing to give up that option and take what you get. When you booked your cruise you must have been satisfied with what you paid....so what is your complaint? Hank
jlp20 Posted October 20, 2017 #21 Share Posted October 20, 2017 This is not the store down the block. Different rules apply HOW and WHEN you made the purchase and from WHO. You can always CANCEL the initial booking and create a new one at lower price. However, you may lose $ from first booking and cabin selection for the second may be limited.
