toberman Posted February 8, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) Now, let the complaints and whining begin! :D That was my first thought as well - Why is PCL spending all this money on paint and at the same time cutting down on staff and food quality?? Personally, I think it looks good, and they have to repaint the ships over time anyway, so why not spice it up. Blue paint costs the same as white - small cost for a stencil and we're done. RetiredNTraveling Posted February 8, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2016 Some months ago, there was a PCL Survey covering designs for ships to update the fleet. This was one of the better offerings as I recall. So if this is coming, then it's better than quite a few of the others. Just Mike

Nezmo Posted February 8, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 8, 2016 It's a little NCL-like.
Astro Flyer Posted February 8, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) Not my cup of tea, but may fare well in the new market.:) Mine either & guess I'm just a traditionalist and that Princess ships were already distinctive enough before. ;) Some months ago, there was a PCL Survey covering designs for ships to update the fleet. This was one of the better offerings as I recall. So if this is coming, then it's better than quite a few of the others.Just Mike Thankfully what I thought was the best option from the survey was used...some reminded me of NCL's livery. nukesubsailor Posted February 8, 2016 #13 Share Posted February 8, 2016 I am glad they stuck to just using the Princess sea witch logo and not some random gaudy design all over the hull.
RetiredNTraveling Posted February 8, 2016 #14 Share Posted February 8, 2016 While it is different, I seldom can see it because I can't lean over the side that far!:p
Luvmyrotti Posted February 8, 2016 #15 Share Posted February 8, 2016 I like it. A little more perky than what they currently have, but still tasteful with the seawitch.
sherryf Posted February 8, 2016 #16 Share Posted February 8, 2016 It's a little NCL-like. I agree, and I hate the look of NCL ships. :(
raider23 Posted February 8, 2016 #17 Share Posted February 8, 2016 Not impressed. Can't see it while you're on the ship, adds nothing in my opinion. Personally, the money could be better spent on upgrading something on the ship. Just my opinion.:)
towhee Posted February 8, 2016 #18 Share Posted February 8, 2016 Not my cup of tea, but it will make it easier to tell PCL from other white hulled ships when at sea.

jennybenny Posted February 8, 2016 #21 Share Posted February 8, 2016 I personally don't love it, It reminds me of what NCL has done to many of their ships, but not as colorful. I like clean, traditional appearances. It's not bad. It won't affect my cruising experience in any way either, so it's fine by me.
GUT2407 Posted February 8, 2016 #22 Share Posted February 8, 2016 I couldn't care less how they're painted as long as they're clean and tidy.
Brisbane41 Posted February 8, 2016 #23 Share Posted February 8, 2016 Its ugly. I don't like it. Why waste money on garbage like that. If they have money to waste on tacky hull art then something is wrong with them.
