That 14 day cruise is probably 2- 7 day trips and if that's the case you should get 3 setups in all.

Not 2 x 7-day cruises, but 1 x14 day and 1 x 10 day. I thought we'd only have the one set-up. Cruises are in South Pacific (ex Australian ports)

Two.. and it's so much fun to watch everyone get off at the end of that first cruise and realize you get to stay ;)

It is so nice sitting there watching everyone leave before returning to your room for the next cruise. :D

I'm so used to the Caribbean where all of the 14 day trips are 2 -7 day trips linked. I wish they still had the true 14 day ones.

We just booked a B2B as a single cruise and thought we would only get one cruise credit. We were okay with that, but it will be better to get two. :) This is our first B2B and we are looking forward to experiencing a relaxed change over day.

How do you book a back to back? Pay twice for the room? Can you keep same room?

You would book it just like you would book two cruises that are separated by some period of time. Often two consecutive cruises are offered as a single booking. The fare is usually slightly less that the sum of the fares of the two cruises if booked separately.

If you book early enough you will get the same cabin for both segments. If you book a single segment and then later on decide you want to book the one prior to it or the one after it to make a back-to-back, you can check to see if your cabin has been booked for the cruise you want to add. Just start an on-line booking through the Princess website and continue to the point where you select a cabin. It will show if your cabin has been sold or not for the additional cruise.

If booked as a single cruise, you will always get the same cabin for both segments.

If booked as two cruises, you can get the same cabin if what you want is available for both segments.

If you book as two cruises as a GTY and the two are linked in the Princess computer system, you will usually be assigned the same cabin for both segments.

Knowing at the end of the first leg we still have 7 more days. We always like it on the last night in the theater of the first leg when the Cruise director is thanking everyone for Cruising and wishing all safe travels and knowing it's not our last night on the ship. Also walking down the hall to our cabin and seeing all the luggage out and waiting to be picked up knowing not ours. And then the next day when the staff recognizes and acknowledges us from the prior sailing.

When deciding whether to book as 2 separate cruises or one longer cruise, first check to see if the longer one is priced a little lower than the 2 separate ones. Then, if you're eligible for the military credit, take a look at it. If booked as one, you may only get $250 (14 nights or longer). If you book as 2 separate, you'll get an extra $100 for the second cruise.
