fpcruiser Posted January 2, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2017 Our cruise at the end of January is still way more than we paid a year ago.
39august Posted January 2, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 2, 2017 All of my cruises are higher than when I booked them. Usual "sale".
SAS21 Posted January 2, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 2, 2017 They had this same sale last June. I booked an OS only $150 more than the JS is now on same cruise, no OS or GS available now. I thought it was a great deal then. Now not so much. Our cruise is not until Jan. 2018 though.
RSLeesburg Posted January 2, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 2, 2017 We save almost $1,300 on our upcoming cruise on Navigator with this sale. We booked while onboard Harmony, and then checked prices when this sale hit. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
vichastwins Posted January 2, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 2, 2017 We had re booked out interior cabins a few days ago for our harmony spring break cruise. Saved us 1139 on each 2 person cabin. So it was an awesome deal for us!
uksimonusa Posted January 2, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 2, 2017 Our Oasis cruise is still $400 more than we booked for, even with the "special" pricing
splinkaone Posted January 2, 2017 #10 Share Posted January 2, 2017 Nice sale, but still almost $400 more per person than we paid for our balcony cabin on Liberty at the end of this month.

johnjen Posted January 2, 2017 Author #12 Share Posted January 2, 2017 We saved $632 off today just by getting this deal. For me, that's a pretty decent savings....just goes to show you the variances of pricing....it's crazy, but I dig it!

SilkySal Posted January 3, 2017 #15 Share Posted January 3, 2017 This is what I love about cruise critic...glad it helped. I've had so much great advice from others like this...paying it back! Although, this "sale" does not save me anything:( since I always book our cruises about 2 years out, I am sure it is helping a lot of people who booked later!! So, thanks for taking the time to spread the news about your good savings!!

According to the RC Web site, we saved over $1,000 on our April 2017 cruise on the Allure. We were fortunate to come across some vacation money after the holidays and I just booked last night. Not sure how it compares to booking earlier but seemed like a nice deal! Cheers! Sent from my SM-G935V using Forums mobile app
JTBCruiser Posted January 3, 2017 #17 Share Posted January 3, 2017 I have 2 cruises already booked and checked the sale. Not even close to what I paid, both were significantly higher on this sale. Good to hear it "did" work out for others. I'm always checking for price drops any way, I can usually snag at least one price drop after the initial booking. jungle1 Posted January 4, 2017 #19 Share Posted January 4, 2017 My Harmony sailing in March 17 was a bit cheaper ($150), but my Oasis sailings in March 2018 were significantly more expensive. But I'll take a few bucks for the price of a phone call. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
johnjen Posted January 4, 2017 Author #20 Share Posted January 4, 2017 I'm truly sorry the deal isn't working out for some of you. I too remember seeing similar offers in the past, before thinking about applying it's interesting to see if you'll save money or wasting your time. I'd consider this booking "early" since it'll be a year out from booking when we cruise. Edited January 4, 2017 by johnjen
Rare cruiselvr04 Posted January 4, 2017 #22 Share Posted January 4, 2017 We have four cruises booked in the next 16 months and they were all higher. No sale for us. It doesn't hurt to keep checking but in the last couple of years we have not found any savings when booking at least a year in advance.
Rare John&LaLa Posted January 4, 2017 #23 Share Posted January 4, 2017 All our Oasis trips are higher than when we booked on release day. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Forums mobile app
kevnick0814 Posted January 5, 2017 #24 Share Posted January 5, 2017 Sailing Allure 3/5/17. 'Sale' is $400 higher per ticket then when we booked last May.
jnamadison Posted January 5, 2017 #25 Share Posted January 5, 2017 Since we didn't book until very recently for our cruise in Jan 18, the 3rd night free/Kids sail free sale allowed our group (3A, 4K) to go from 3 Balcony rooms to a Royal Family Suite on Oasis for an additional $400. That is until I made the "mistake" of asking about an Aquatheatre Suite just because I had to know the cost. And now we're going to spoil the kids for cruising forever.
