If the 3 drinks are loaded on our Seapass cards can we use them in the MDR/Select dining to get a drink with our meal?

You are not able to use them in the MDR, although, the bar in the buffet, at least on Silhouette serves the free drinks to Elite so having a glass of wine, etc there is not a problem..

Update: My agent was able to call Celebrity and get my 2 perks switched from OBC and Unlimited Internet to OBC and Free tips for our 11 day cruise.

I myself was able to call the Captains Club and purchase just the unlimited Interent for my wife. Onboard cost would have been $314, Precuise price would have been $269...............Was able to use the Elite member discount and get the charge down to $209.

I myself will just use the internet( one device at a time) when my wife isn't online so no problems there.

Since the free tips for the 2 of us is $299 total for the 11 days, thought this would be a better value.

Thanks for everyone's help.

having the drinks on your sea pass card happens only when there are an excessive number of elites on board. Always on trans atlantic trips. There were over 600 on our last Infinity trip from Chile to Miami and drinks were only in the one lounge each night and they checked at the door as we left so we could not take wine to dinner.

Which cruise will you be on ?

you can purchase a second unlimited internet package for 50% off. This is useful only if you find that you both cannot share the single unlimited internet package.

Is the 50% off second device discount also offered when you buy Internet packages Pre-cruise over the phone? Or is it only available for purchase onboard?

And is the 50% discount only calculated off the full non-discounted package price? Or is it 50% off the rate we pay with our 35% Elite Plus discount on the original package?

Thanks!

I saw on the coupon page that you get a 20% discount on a photo. Can anyone tell me the price of a photo (just individual photo). We are going on our first Celebrity cruise, but Diamond on Royal and through our TA, got our Elite Captain's Club number. We don't have any need for a photo package but we always got a free photo on Royal. Just wondering about how much it is to purchase one photo on Celebrity. We usually just get the boarding photo. We used to purchase tons of the photos and we literally have a BOX of those photos, but we like having the boarding photo of each cruise.

If you order unlimited photos prior to the cruise directly from mycruisephotos.com, the package costs varies from $200 to $250. We get on a flash drive then the pics we like make hardcopy books and or rotate on our electronic picture frames to enjoy. Individual pics cost an average of $25 each so this is the best value of the cruise.

The 20% discount is on a package - not on individual photos.

Jimbo, Print out something that has your status as Elite. We checked in once and were not given Elite cards - they said they would fix it on board. Well, that took time and they handed us one letter to show our Elite status. Very awkward when we tried to have breakfast at the Elite lounge (which was Murano restaurant). We went back and insisted they print us cards.

You can get a bloody Mary or Mimosa or Screwdriver at the Elite lounge for breakfast. You will find Celebrity to be not as generous as Royal with the free drinks. Anything we drink is not counted against our card in the Diamond lounge, then we had 3 drinks loaded on each card to be used up until 8:30pm. On Celebrity, it's 3 drinks each only and only from a select menu. Tipping often had certain waiters slipping us extra drinks on Celebrity, or larger pours. I prefer to go the bar outside Michael's Club when I have the drinks loaded on my card. Easier to get a seat and develop and the waiters are more available. Never had a problem taking my drink to go.

The Persian Garden is not great, certainly not worth paying for. I enjoyed it on the M class ships because the water room was separate and a lot of fun. The water room on the S class is just a shower and you feel like you are disturbing the passengers lounging on the hot tiled beds in close proximity. The whole experience was awkward and I was out of there in 10 minutes.

What does the breakfast consist of in the Elite Lounge?

Hi,

In Elite lounge, in Tuscan Grill on S Class ships, it is fruit to include Mango and Papaya, bagels and sweet rolls, smoked salmon and sliced onion and whatever anyone eats with those two things, I don't care for that, and in addition to the food they have Bloody Mary's, Bellini's, Champagne cocktail, Mimosas as well as specialty coffees and espresso. I have also seen people order straight Vodka to chase the Bloody Mary. Not sure where on M class this is held as we have not been on M Class when we were Elite.

We (my family of 4) just got off Infinity earlier this month. We are Elite CC members. Here are a few links to the documents that we had in our stateroom that corresponded to our Elite benefits. I think this will answer most of your questions (or confirm what has already been said by others):

Elite Newsletter (has info on cocktail hour, Elite Lounge, Elite events, and Internet discounts)

Elite Coupon Sheet (12 nights or longer)

Elite Coupon Sheet (11 nights or shorter)

Note that the coupon sheet system is being replaced with your benefits being loaded onto your SeaPass Card.

Although I doubt you will want this, you can purchase a second unlimited internet package for 50% off. This is useful only if you find that you both cannot share the single unlimited internet package.

Thanks for posting the Elite Letter. Answered my question as to where the cocktail time is at night and where the Elite breakfast is in the am.

If you book the internet ahead of time you will get the discount that you would get on the ship plus an additional 10%(brand new perk) Just give the Captain's Club a call.

This will be our first cruise on Celebrity but we will be Elite status because of our Diamond status on RCCL. Question: are we provided with hair conditioner and shampoo or do we need to bring our own?

Thanks for getting back to me.

As a RCCL Diamond Plus vs Celebrity Elite, these are some of what RCCL gives you that Celebrity does NOT!

One free pictures per person (2 for a couple)

A dedicated lounge 24/7

A full free day of wifi per person

Better and more organized boarding process

Three free casino pulls

Four/Five bottles of free water in room upon arrival and cookies

Some special treats fruit/candy in room during cruise

A special pass to bridge/kitchen/backstage

All you want to drink during RCCL social time - not just 3 drinks as on Celebrity

In addition to all you want to drink during social hour in lounge or if you can't make it to the lounge...

Three free drinks per person at bars during 1700-2030

We do not drink alcohol and so all we wanted was bottled water or sodas

Celebrity Evening social is only1700-1900 versus RCCL 1700-2030 RCCL has finger food "Buffett" rather than some server bringing around a few bite-size choices

With the exception that Celebrity has more ports/routes than RCCL we feel Celebrity Elite status is treated like a 2nd class citizen when compared to RCCL Diamond Plus.

Well, the benefits are different but you are not comparing equivalent tiers. The equivalent tier to Diamond Plus is Elite Plus, not Elite. So Diamond Plus should be better than Elite. It is a higher level. Elite is equivalent to Diamond. You also left out Elite benefits like free laundry, there is 90 minutes free internet which I think is better than a day. You left out the Elite breakfast. Elite has backstage tours, a wine tasting and the Elegant Tea. Dedicated debarkation lounge. You left out some other stuff too. That is for a tier lower than Diamond Plus. Elite Plus I gets 240 internet minutes and free specialty coffees. I prefer my Elite Plus benefits to the Diamond Plus benefits.

Charles4515, I stand corrected as we were Elite Plus. It was last summer when we took 2 Celebrity cruises. Yes, there is a backstage tour but no bridge tour. And yes there are a couple of perks that Celebrity has the RCCL does not. But overall CC pales in comparison. A major thing for us is having a 24/7 place to go that is away from the noise, kids, etc., and CC does not have that. But like anything its what you get used to and we were pampered more on RCCL so it left an impression. Does not mean that we do not do CC as we have 4 lined up this year alone.

Just got off the Harmony of the Seas We are Elite plus on Celebrity We were in a suite so those benefits on both lines are much better. We did go to the diamond lounge on royal and it was mobbed Guest were told they could get three free drinks from a very limited list at all but martini bar.

I agree the laundry is worth more then "free" snacks that you can get elsewhere on the ship as we all need more food on a cruise! To me the free 2 loads of laundry pp are worth much more then free drinks and food. As far as water and free wine, also available multiple sites on the ship from time to time but we enjoy the all inclusive packages. Cafe Baccio also better on celebrity, then the "free" cappucino on Royal or coffee from other royal sites. While we enjoy both lines IMO Celebrity perks more meaningful. Since we are frequent cruisers, not interested in seeing the bridge, kitchens or backstage tours more then once on either line.

Just a small correction...On Celebrity when they have the nightly social gathering there is NO limit on how many drinks you have...and they also have bottled water available...ONLY when they don't actually have the lounge happy hours (mainly on the TA's) is there any drink limits.

We are elite plus and are planning on doing our first RCL trip...I look forward to seeing differences myself.
