Norwegian Jade’s extensive renovation is a part of The Norwegian Edge™, an investment program that sets a high standard of excellence encompassing the entire guest experience across Norwegian’s fleet. Norwegian Jade’s extensive enhancements come just in time for her highly anticipated summer season, the brand’s first ever complete season sailing from Hamburg, Germany to the Norwegian Fjords, with embarkation also available in the UK.

Serving up cold brews and snack-time favorites in a relaxed atmosphere, the new venue features modern flooring, refurbished front and back bars and new banquet seating. The Pit Stop, a newly installed concept for Norwegian Jade, will serve up poolside fun and fare in a 1950s-style American diner atmosphere, clad with vintage license plates, gas station signage and classic car elements.

Moderno Churrascaria received a new home on deck 13 and features a new upscale glass door entrance, floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing for stunning panoramic views of the ocean enhanced by new flooring, wall coverings and upgraded furniture. Now, even more Norwegian Jade guests can enjoy Cagney’s Steakhouse, as the ever-popular restaurant has added additional seating to the completely refurbished space, which offers a new color scheme befitting of a classic steakhouse, upgraded flooring, new wall linings and an intimate new virtual fireplace.

Those looking to dance the night away aboard Norwegian Jade can now do so in the chic new Bliss Ultra Lounge on deck seven, which has the feel of an upscale Miami nightclub and features a cool color palette of silvers, greys and black. Guests who wish to indulge in an exotic cocktail can enjoy their favorite mojito, or opt for a flight and try them all, at the new Sugarcane Mojito Bar on deck 13 adjacent to Moderno Churrascaria, a Norwegian fan favorite since the concept debuted on Norwegian Getaway in 2014. Sugarcane features, new granite bar fronts, as well as new furnishings and finishes. Norwegian Jade’s Spinnaker Lounge also received a complete redesign of the entire space to include new flooring and window treatments, decorative chandeliers, reupholstered seating and refurbished bars with contemporary mosaic tiling and LED lighting.

Every stateroom on the ship was enhanced during this renovation, with all receiving new carpets, furniture, flat screen TVs, new larger headboards with USB charging outlets and more than 2000 new pieces of artwork. Guests sailing in The Haven®, Norwegian’s ship-within-a-ship luxury suite concept, will now enjoy a more modern chic atmosphere in all suites and villas, as they now feature new finishes to walls and ceilings, new flooring throughout the suites and balconies, plus new soft goods and drapery.

Yes, thanks, we've seen the article and now we're really excited about our cruise (Apr. 23rd) and can't wait to see the changes.

Anyone have an idea of this restaurant "Pit Stop"... is it just a pool side grill area... that's what it sounds like to me.

Oh well, not to worry, we'll be on the Jade before we know it. :D

Sounds like this new restaurant is a type of Race Car Diner...:

This is the Pit Stop description: Cool your engines at this "race car" themed outdoor bar. Relax with a frosty beer or enjoy the sights with a specialty frozen cocktail.

It is apparently on deck 13, which is the one above the pool deck.

The only outside bar on that deck is what was the Bali Hai Bar & Grill, and I can't see any mention of that any more, so I assume that is where it is.

If you look at the photo of the pool deck posted earlier, you can see that bar. There seems to be a stars & stripes to the left of it.

There is also a Sugarcane on that deck as well, which I don't think was there when I was onboard the Jade before. I suspect that is the old Star Bar (all shifted a bit for the Moderno/Cagneys change), but I could be wrong.

Yes, of course you're correct Keith... duh. I saw the Bali Hai still listed there but now I see Pit Stop in it's place. Thank you, you're always on the mark, appreciate your help.

Sugar Cane is definitely a new Bar, that's where Star Bar was on the Star. They also held Karaoke in SugarCane bar in the evenings too.

I'm really looking forward to checking that out!! :D I'm a huge car fan (I work for a race team) so I think I'll really enjoy it. Is it just a bar or is it a restaurant as well? I guess no one really knows yet. I'm sailing on the Jade in 9 days so I get to check everything out real soon, can't wait!!!! :D

You can? Is it the spot in front of the pool behind the green and white tent thing? That looks like a bar there but I'm not really sure.

If you look at the two sets of stairs going up from the pool deck, the bar is at the top of those stairs.

Wonder if that atrium lighting changes colour (similar to the bigger ships with changing chandelier light) - personally I am not a fan of that green and orange as shown here?

She looks fab though - we loved the Jade - Despite the gaudiness we thought the mini suites on Jade were amongst the best "non suite" cabins we have had in years. So much old fashioned cupboard space - and loved the tub! Looking forward to seeing pics of the upgraded cabins :)

SugarCane is the Mojito bar from the Escape.... Very popular.... We went there most nights for a pre-dinner drink.... Can't see it working alongside Karaoke, they seem pretty contradictory... The bar is a hub of chatter & laughter, the two functions would impact negatively on one another.. More suited to a pianist...

Haven't sailed the Jade before but we're on for the 23rd Western Caribbean and stay on for the transatlantic...
