They say that sweet potato is better for you but only if you are not eating bigger portions than normal chips before. They are too delicious

I love sweet potato chips. I recall sometime ago having sweet potato fries on a ship. They were delish. I think it may have been RCI, Anyone know?

Ahoy Pie people, just returned from Woolie's with a stack of 2 pack National Pies@ $4 per pack or as they say half price. Yum!☺️

Cheap as chips, the more you buy the more you save. National Pies are alleged to be good, (Tasmanian.)

They are good Les, we had them for dinner with mashed spuds and veggies one night last week.

I scored a free one with the Woolies rewards app a few months ago. OK for a mince pie, but I would still prefer a 4 pack of Mrs Mac's at a similar price.

Interesting how we all have different tastes concerning food. I don't like Mrs Macs products particularly. For frozen pies, my absolute favourite brand is Herbert Adams.

I like Herbert Adams too, and known to be a target when they are on special. A bit dearer, but you get what you pay for. I used to hate Mrs Mac's, probably from having one too many servo pies that had been in a warmer for a few hours too long. I quite enjoy their potato top pies, but the pastry can be horrible and rock hard if over baked. I do know, as Barb has torched plenty of pies of various brands over the years via oven, nuker or air fryer.

Defrost the frozen pie in microwave, then whack in airfryer or normal oven for 10 minutes to crisp up, lubbly jubbly.

Great photo Les.  You’re ageless, like those Cunard tipplers.  Benjamin Button has nothing on you.

I sometimes don't even bother with the oven/airfryer and microwave only. Pastry can be a bit soft but that's fine, my teeth are old!

A soft pie is fine, no teeth required.

We absolutely love the National pies, and their Pasties are pretty good too. Cant beat the pastry.

Our local Woolies only has the National Pies and sausage rolls. I will look in another one for pasties, would love to try them.
