ramja96 Posted March 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2018 I just saw someone in another forum (initials are FB) mention that they saw a beer card offered on their RC cruise last week. This is the first I have ever heard of a beer card. Has anyone else ever seen this, and what were the terms? Price? Qty? TIA

Cptnkirky Posted March 28, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Was it offered early in the cruise, or a few days in? My DH would love this!!!

JaniceB Posted March 28, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Saw one on Adventure last week, $49 for 10 beers, plus 18%. Is that a much of discount for 10 beers?
Clarea Posted March 28, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Is that a much of discount for 10 beers? Beers run around $6.50 to $8.50, so $4.90 per beer is a decent discount.

BearBear12 Posted March 29, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 29, 2018 On Allure is was about $61(Don’t remember exactly) total for 10 draft beers. Had it on a previous cruise so asked for one on second day and got it. Just ordered one beer on day one but that was with a specialty drink with my wife so maybe bartender didn’t think to ask. First day they just had 1 of 3 taps working and last two days they were running out of stock again. I’m not too picky so didn’t mind but worth considering. Merion_Mom Posted April 19, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Saw one on Adventure last week, $49 for 10 beers, plus 18%. Grandeur has this (same card, same price). It showed up on Day 5 of a 12 night cruise. Good for draft beers only.

Clarea Posted April 20, 2018 #12 Share Posted April 20, 2018 Does it include hard cider? I assume so, but only if it's on draft.
Merion_Mom Posted April 21, 2018 #13 Share Posted April 21, 2018 I don't even know where to put certain information any more. The drink card (10 for $85 plus 18% gratuity) appeared today, day 8 of 12. SInce this is the Grandeur, the price limit is $12.
Junkhouse Posted April 22, 2018 #14 Share Posted April 22, 2018 Best buy on LOS was $25 (+18%) for a five beer (mix/match) bucket on pool deck. Most were 16oz aluminum bottles.
Luke Dawg Posted April 23, 2018 #15 Share Posted April 23, 2018 Hi Ramja96, I found this, if you zoom in on the fine print is say 18% grat is included. My recent Allure Aug 2017 16oz cans of beer were $8.25 plus 18% tip. So this is a great deal if you find a beer you like.
Rare starvenger Posted April 23, 2018 #16 Share Posted April 23, 2018 @Luke Dawg - I'm going on the Allure in August. Do you happen to know what they had on tap? I know it could change, but wouldn't mind an idea of what I can get.

I had the drink package so I was drinking Bud cans all week.
Rare starvenger Posted April 23, 2018 #18 Share Posted April 23, 2018 I see. Yeah I'd probably do the same (drink bottles/cans/cocktails with unnatural colours) if I had the package.

Thanks Luke - I truly appreciate it - even though I decided to go with the Deluxe Package. When I added up the likely drinks I would be getting throughout the day (water and specialty coffees included), it really was a no-brainer to go with the deluxe package. But, thanks again. Not usually offered until last half of a Cruise. Some sailings will also sell a bucket of bottled Beer, same thing later in sailing Edited February 14, 2019 by ONECRUISER
