cruisegirl1 Posted October 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2018 I just booked a cruise for February 1, 2019 and realized it is Super Bowl weekend. Does RCCL do anything for the super bowl? I am not a huge pro football fan ( more a college fan) but usually like to catch the first half, and maybe the halftime show. I imagine the game is shown on board. Thanks. I'll be on a ship for Super Bowl. There is a group of us doing it as a group cruise.
nelblu Posted October 22, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2018 I'll be on the Symphony on Feb. 2nd and usually they have a spread in the Theatre. Hot dogs, nachos, etc. They also, have 2 cakes representing each team. Also, the game is shown in bars and the Casino, but not in the stateroom. It usually is shown on ESPN the next day. Tee & Chilli Posted October 22, 2018 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2018 Harmony showed the game in the aqua theater. Johnny Rockets was selling wings. Two large cakes were complimentary and there was an ice sculpture.

They will have snacks too, like hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, etc.
springfire Posted October 23, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 23, 2018 I am just now realizing that we will be one Jewel of the Seas during the Super Bowl. I did not have that planned that way. I sure hope they show the game on the pool screen, that would be fun.
cocoabeana Posted October 23, 2018 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2018 We were on the Allure for the superbowl in 2015. We were told they would have it playing in the aqua theater, they did not. Everyone was scrambling trying to find somewhere to watch it. We ended up in the sports bar, very crowded, no seats. We will be on the harmony this year and we are hoping they have it somewhere with more room!

Also, Jewel still has a sports bar just forwrd of the casino.
Rare shipshape sam Posted October 23, 2018 #10 Share Posted October 23, 2018 Watched a regular season game on the big pool screen. Can't imagine Super Bowl would not be on.
akcruz Posted October 23, 2018 #11 Share Posted October 23, 2018 We watched the Super Bowl on Jewel 2yearx ago out by the pool. The only thing to add to what has already been said is they show it in an international feed so you miss all the commercials. Was definitely different and not our first choice to watch the game but would do it again.

Funny how being on a cruise, she might not mind so much.
