Hi Wilson!

Questions/Comments:

Is the Atrium Bar and Mojito Bar smaller than on the Escape?  The pics sure do look so.  Just wondering since those were my favs on Escape...

Bliss:  I could foresee myself in the OL a lot.  Spectacular!  But, seeing self-absorbed vagrants sprawled on furniture is not what I want to see when I want 1 chair.  The image of drooling people and smelly feet perched on furniture, I will never get out of my head, nor do I want to deal with those ignorant people! Game changer.  I highly doubt they sanitize those areas between sailings. Deal breaker.

The OL was vetted as an asset when the Bliss PR campaign marketed.  Ummm...

Anyway, the ship looks beautiful, but not for me.  Thank you for your "real time" posts and observations.  You are always a hoot!   🙂

The atrium bar may be slightly smaller in diameter than the Escape, but from what I've seen it never gets that busy. I believe that so many people are hanging out in the observation lounge, which has its own equal sized bar, that not as many people frequent the atrium.

The mojito bar is basically the same size and in the same place as the Getaway.

I wouldn't let the OL nappers dissuade you from the Bliss. You can look out the windows without sitting on the furniture...

I went to guest services to pay down my tab with cash, so as not to incur it on my credit card. While down there, I eavesdropped on several of the guests who were removing gratuities. They each had basically the same story. "I prefer to give cash"... In other words, they are a bunch of cheapskates in my opinion... If someone goes above and beyond, then give them something extra, but don't stiff the hardworking staff behind the scenes... It's their hard work that makes for a great vacation, in addition to the crew that you have direct contact with... Rant over......

I hate that too.  This is the first time we prepaid ours. We just include it as part of the cost of the trip.

LOL!  Thanks for info!  You are being kind about "nappers".  You are not the first one to document the disrespect of people who drool all over furniture...

I made my decision.  I am not booking the Bliss.  OL should be a really cool place to hang. Too weird how people act like they are homeless and took over the place with no respect to others. Not for me.  I am sure NCL will not miss me on any of their Bliss sailings. LOL!

Safe travels home tomorrow!

Loved your review...sorry you came down with the "cruise crud"...have been a victim of that a few times on past cruises.

I think we will be cruise mates on Breakaway in Feb...will probably see you around the bars for sure...our favourite bartender and her husband are on this ship and they will take very good care of us for sure.

I just spent the last 45 minutes trying to upload some photos, and I think two or three actually worked... I'm sitting at the mojito bar drinking, but I'm not even bothering with drink photos, it's just too frustrating. I think half the fault is the internet but the way the new website works (or, doesn't work)

You are doing much better then I would. Really enjoy your commentary. Binging on your reviews this week. Not sure what I will do next week without you. :p

Pulling into Miami at the butt crack of dawn. I had a wake up call for 5:40, but I've been awake since about 4:45... On deck drinking coffee and watching us pull into port. We're nearing the turning basin now.

Wow, it's amazing how quickly the pictures load with a good connection. Bless you, Verizon

Not cruising on the Bliss until April but really enjoyed following along with you this past week. I know it was a pain at times but I really appreciate it. I don’t know how many times I hit refresh to see if anything new was posted this week but it was a lot. Thanks again and safe travels home.

It's been quite a whirlwind of activity since my last update... I took a shower, and was out of the cabin at 7:00 sharp. I made my way down the stairs towards deck 7, and was met by a mass of humanity. I went down the glass staircase and ran into a couple of people from Vibe. We started talking, and I was getting funny looks, like "who does this line breaker think he is?"

Well, we talked for a while, and I had pretty much settled into my position in line when Pam (Jovo's assistant) walked by. She smiled and waved me over to where she was. Of course now the people who thought I broke the line (I did) were really mad...

She escorted me over to the high rollers room to the side of the casino to the priority area. I hugged her and thanked her for the wonderful gesture. There were about 9 or 10 others in the room already.

The line outside began to move, and one guy complained that they were moving but not us. Pam assured him that they were not debarking yet, but he continued to complain. I stood there waiting patiently, and was just great full for the consideration.

A few minutes later, Pam came back in and the same guy was still going on and on about how the line outside was moving. She came up and started talking with me, noticing that I was happily waiting and appreciative. She asked when my flight was and I told her 10:00 am. She then whisked me out of the room and told me to follow quickly. We took a crew only route to the very front of the line, and she bid me farewell. I hugged her quickly and thanked her again. I had just been the full treatment...

Soon, I was through customs and in a cab at exactly 7:43

So, here I am at the gate, way early for my flight back home. I'm feeling much better today and I'm just glad the cruise crud didn't last that long. It's been a wild and crazy week we've shared together. There were ups (mostly ups) and downs (cruise crud, spiders, not being able to taste food or even want to drink, poor internet, and a few other things I've already forgotten) But, you all made it, and I want to thank you yet again... I'm going to go buy myself a $5 bottle of water, since I haven't had a sip to drink since my coffee at 6:00 this morning. I'm hoping for a safe and uneventful flight and a smooth subway ride home... I will still try to upload the pictures from my other phone soon, so as to keep some continuity going. Again, thank you all.........

Oh yeah, I wanted to wear this shirt on the cruise, but I think I've been bumped down to the minor league, so I saved it for today... "Major league drinker"...

Final bathroom break before boarding... Gotta bag it up.

MVIMG_20181208_085443.thumb.jpg.cf700742d412fa414bb563a109b583fb.jpg

And, once again I claim my pole position at the front of boarding group 1...

Great. I just glanced over and realized it's 40 degrees in Atlanta... I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt...
