Past celelbrity cruiser coming back after some time ...questions

Coming back to Celebrity after some time. Appears some changes have occurred. Need some verification about Elite cocktail party and the new glass company Hollywood.

 

Assume cocktails are still 5-7 , but appears like Royal that 3 drinks are put on your card for any bar during those hours....correct

Is there a limit on the drinks one can get if one is in the Sky lounge, or is it still just three.

On Royal presently and we get unlimited drinks will in Diamond lounge and the get the 3 drinks at any bar thereafter.

 

Is the Glass show just for those that are signed up to make ornaments  or is there actually some glass blowing that can be observed like the old Corning days????

The CC HH is still from 5 - 7 PM. The CC HH drinks in the lounge are no longer unlimited. Just the three. During the two hour CC HH you also can get the three drinks at any bar except the World Class Bar, Vintages, room service and the stateroom minibar. Some have also posted you can get the drinkls in the MDR.

At the glass show, you can sit and watch them making the pieces.  The glass expert will be explaining each step that goes into the making so it is somewhat educational (and it does entice one to make their own piece 🙂  )

Can only speak to Silhouette and Equinox at this time.  Would assume it will be fleetwide eventually.

Reports on Edge are that there is no evening cocktail reception.

I was only talking about using the “vouchers” in the MDR during 5-7 on the applicable evenings.  I thought Edge had the vouchers.

Sailed on the Reflection November 26th, after being on Royal for our last couple of cruises.  Be aware there is NO Elite happy hour on the first night, embarkation day.  The Elite lounge was held in the Sky Observatory Lounge on 14.  There is a limited drink menu, but be sure to ask, as it may be available.  We prefer Pinot Noir wine, not on the list, but were able to order it anyway. The time limit is 5-7, with canapés doled out by circulating servers. (Prefer the buffet snacks on Royal.)  As to number of drinks, we tipped our waiters $2-3 every night and had more than 3. The 3 drinks loaded on card were available from 4:30 to 7:30.

So are the drinks now always loaded on your card?  In the past, they were only loaded/or coupons issued when there were many elites on board and they did not actually have a dedicated lounge.  When they had a dedicated lounge, you could only get drinks there.

It has been reported that Celebrity has significantly improved this benefit for most people.  They are loading three drinks in your sea pass card for use at various locations.  I say most because you will now be limited to three drinks during the cocktail period, previously this three drink limitation was only for those cruises using coupons.

 

Some of us would rather enjoy our 5-7 cocktails at the Sunset Bar instead of the Sky Lounge.

On my last few cruises, I had a drink package, so I did not look into the Elite party.  On my last cruise without a drink package a few years ago, they only provided the free drinks in the designated lounge.  I may have smuggled out a few Evian waters.

We are looking at booking the Silhouette. We've had the beverage packages on recent cruises, so we have not taken advantage of the three free drinks. Are they available the first night and from 5:00 -7:00 pm only? Does anyone have a link to the list of what is included?
