madibeme Posted December 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2018 I never paid attention before but are their sharps containers in the rooms or is that a request directly to the cruise line? I am going on the escape in February and need to give myself a shot midweek. Thanks!
Rare shof515 Posted December 26, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 26, 2018 it is best to contact the access desk call 1-866-584-9756 (voice), fax (305) 468-2171, send an email to accessdesk@ncl.com
Rare www3traveler Posted December 26, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 26, 2018 There should be a sharpie container in your bathroom. If not ask your Room steward for one.

If you don't easily see one, then ask the steward, and he/she will either point it out to you in some semi-hidden place, or bring one to you. NOT a problem these days! snownow Posted December 26, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 26, 2018 There was one in ours on the last two cruises, Plus i think there were some in the public bathrooms as well.
JillK Posted December 26, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 26, 2018 Had one in our stateroom washroom on the Escape (12/09 sailing) and did observe them in many public washrooms as well. Happy cruising!

If it a single shot, then the public sharps containes would be fine.
zqvol Posted December 26, 2018 #8 Share Posted December 26, 2018 (edited) Usually one is somewhere under the sink. If you can't find it ask your steward. Edited December 26, 2018 by zqvol
Budget Queen Posted December 26, 2018 #9 Share Posted December 26, 2018 NCL now has them stocked in every cabin. BUT, if you are only using one syringe during your cruise, I'd suggest you just go to the Medical Center, and inject there, using their sharps containers? A single use would be simple. Conserves supplies and disposal. Consider not being wasteful. :)

They may not allow you to inject yourself in the their waiting room because of liability and the fee is for the staff to make sure you don't have a reaction in their space..... my daughter's college infirmary charges $25 for self-administered shots if done there. cb at sea Posted December 27, 2018 #11 Share Posted December 27, 2018 If you use needles, then they will give you a small sharps container....simply ask.
Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted December 27, 2018 #12 Share Posted December 27, 2018 mom had one in her cabin on the Getaway last week, and we didn't. Funny, because mom didn't even recognize it for what it was....
bbryan5 Posted December 27, 2018 #13 Share Posted December 27, 2018 Just throw the used syringe on one of the many used room service trays that are always left out in the hallway. 🤠

Each and every piece of trash is hand sorted in the Environmental room and you don’t want to get stuck with a discarded needle. For or a single shot during a cruise, the ships container in the public loo can be used Edited December 27, 2018 by BirdTravels

17cruisesnsl Posted December 29, 2018 #18 Share Posted December 29, 2018 A red box (see left side of photo) usually on a shelf in the bathroom in various sizes, depending on the cabin. I have always found one in the cabin, although I haven't needed or requested it. The advice to call the access desk to be certain, is good advice - they're very helpful. Enjoy your cruise. OCruisers Posted December 29, 2018 #20 Share Posted December 29, 2018 You'll have no problem. If a sharps container isn't in your cabin, your cabin steward will be glad to bring you one.
