veruca1130 Posted February 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2019 Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but, here it goes. I am debating between 2 itineraries(both on the crown princess out of ft. Lauderdale, both in the fall). I would like to get people’s thoughts on which they would choose, and why. 1:Bahamas, st.thomas, Dominica, Grenada, Bonaire, Aruba. 2: Bahamas, st.thomas, st.kitts, st.lucia, Barbados, Antigua
AF-1 Posted February 10, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2019 I like the second one. I have been to all these islands and number two would be my choice.
voljeep Posted February 10, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2019 2. would be 4 new ports for us but, we've one 1. and enjoyed it very much ... especially Bonaire snorkeling
Potstech Posted February 10, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2019 Have done both and would do #2 as it is more ports for the money. Both are great cruises.
Rare MrSchwump Posted February 10, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 10, 2019 I love Barbados but I’d lean toward the first. Grenada and Dominica are fantastic. The scenery in both is amazing. Roseau Dominica is my favorite Caribbean city.

Also Grenada (smells like spices & has nice warm water) is a favorite of ours.

OR 2: Bahamas, st.thomas, st.kitts, st.lucia, Barbados, Antigua We've to all of these ports multiple times. Is this your first Caribbean cruise? Some things to consider: if you like snorkeling #1 would be the better one (Bonaire, Aruba); if you like gorgeous scenery and some historical sites #2 would be the better one. IMHO. Plus, an earlier poster wrote on another thread about an unfortunate incident in Antigua. When we were at the latter 2 years ago, I took a ship's tour in the a.m. and we stayed on the ship the rest of the day.

Rare Cruise Raider Posted February 13, 2019 #10 Share Posted February 13, 2019 I like the first itinerary better ... mainly because of Aruba and Bonaire.
Kate P.C Posted February 13, 2019 #11 Share Posted February 13, 2019 I would also choose the second one, because I love Barbados. And I would also choose Antigua over Aruba for the beaches. Have fun!
JenRonn1104 Posted February 13, 2019 #12 Share Posted February 13, 2019 We have done both itineraries and enjoyed both of them. If I had to pick one of them to do again I would probably pick #2 because we love Barbados and Antigua. But you can't go wrong with either. Georgie562 Posted February 13, 2019 #13 Share Posted February 13, 2019 Having sailed the Southern Caribbean multiple times on Celebrity Summit from San Juan, I would chose #1. I have also sailed to Bahamas, st.thomas, st.kitts, st.lucia, Barbados, Antigua but enjoyed the other islands more. You will also get to visit 2 of the ABC islands as well. famski740 Posted February 13, 2019 #14 Share Posted February 13, 2019 Love both cruises. Really enjoy the southern cruise with 2 of the ABC islands. If it were up to me, I's probably try to set up a b2b and do both.

Antigua is my wife's favorite port we've been to in the Caribbean, with the exception of Grand Turk!!
