How are you determining if your bid is  weak , medium or strong?.......does it say it somewhere when you move the dial left  or right?

Yep. As you move the slider it tells you the relative strength of your bid.

Does not show that on mine, no matter  which way I move the slider. Cruise must be to far away to show that yet. 71 days

Does it need to be? While similar to some of the other threads, I think this one has value as a stand-alone thread.

Just kidding about combining.

Some reports have said they were notified less than a week before the cruise.

Bid but no word yet. Less than 2 weeks out. I did not see the weak/medium/strong feature when I bid, but I may have been on mobile, so that could be why?

I'd be interested to know how RCI measures weak/medium/strong. Even if there is an algorithm (that factors in things like who bid more than you but maybe also bid on a higher room so you could win, etc...) it still would only be relevant the moment you bid. As other bids come in after yours, the strength of your bid would change without you knowing.

I know the bid amounts change.  When I bid 5 days ago the cost for a JS was from $100 - $180 pp.  Last time I looked they had raised the max bid to  $250.

There was a scale at the bottom when I bid that showed where it ranked.

Oh okay now, I have been bidding on my phone and you don't see that scale thing to the right. Just opened up one of the Royal Up emails on my home computer and now, yes I do see the scale.  Thanks

I was just notified I won. I am 11 days from the cruise. Medium bid- went from Inside Guarantee to Inside Promenade. Interestingly- I had called Royal earlier in the day (before I received the email) and asked how many bids they accept. I was told there is usually only 1 cabin held back per category- per sailing. And sometimes none at all.

If you won a bid how soon did you find out?  Right away, few weeks before the cruise, week of the cruise, or few days before the cruise?  Thank you!

Varies, but it seems like most report hearing within 2 weeks of the cruise.
