Ohh a St Patrick’s Day sale! Lol, they always time with the holiday no matter how insignificant. I am kicking myself for not booking on the Super Bowl weekend 4 perks offer.

I think those are called Flash sales.  Discounted beverage packages, or package upgrades, discounted internet & some shore excursions.  Normally only good for 4-7 days.  Keep checking your Cruise Planner and your Roll  Call.

If you get regular Celebrity emails, here is my experience.  I had been waiting for a promotional discount and better perks for a sailing in June (was hoping for AQ but the pricing was ridiculously high when we first booked).  

After doing the pricing analysis (comparing cabins, perks, US to Canadian funds etc) each time an email came, I was finally able to upgrade to AQ with the Go Best promo a couple of months ago for only $150 more than we had initially booked for.  

But.....am so glad I took a screen shot of the pricing because when I asked my TA to make the changes for us, it did not show up on her computer.  She needed to escalate her request while on the phone with Celebrity, showing them my screen shot to get the premium package.  This was all within one hour!  Even when I went back to try another fake booking,  the offer was different (by then maybe 2 hours later).   So if you find one, book it fast!!

Im checking daily on the upgrade from Classic to Premium and notice that the Classic Package is $59US and the Premium $69 US . Does this now mean the upgrade is back to $10 per day plus the 18% = $11:80 perday as it was a while ago ?

Hammo, yes.

The difference was $14 a day plus gratuties for only a short period of time.  This was due to an increase in the cost for the Premium package while the Classic package stayed the same.  The price of the Classic package was increase later by $4, therefore the difference is back to the $10.

Unfortunately for the past three or four days my Cruise Planner gives me a message something like " Well this is frustrating, you're trying to plan your vacation and our site has taken a vacation to upgrade the site" or words pretty close to that.  Am I the only one experiencing this?  I can get into my 'Manage Reservation' when I log in, but not the Cruise Planner so I can't check for the Flash sales  :(

We plan to upgrade the beverage package now  . Can we do this online or do I have to call Celebrity ?. Our TA just says to do it onboard using our OBC but we would prefer to embark and be already prepared for that first drink .

Me too...can't get into cruise planner.....same message ! Ugh. I need to call them....

I know a lot of cruise lines are moving that direction so maybe?? But if you can get a good enough deal it's still a good idea! (btw, we paid nothing for our EDGE cruise because of my friends HIGH casino status). And will do it again, for the right PROMO!
