marshhawk Posted September 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2019 We cruised in April and really enjoyed the Make it with Michaels. Was it still offered on your last cruise. I am looking forward to participating again.
DramaQueen22 Posted September 28, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2019 Was on the Horizon 2 weeks ago. I believe it was offered on sea days...right around 9:30am.
mnp75 Posted September 28, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2019 Just off the Breeze this morning. I did see it listed on the Carnival app, don't remember what day or time though.
marshhawk Posted September 29, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted September 29, 2019 Thank you for verifying. My DH and I really enjoyed it, and cant wait to participate again. My MIL wants us to send her our art to put on the fridge. LOL!

dow cruiser Posted September 29, 2019 #6 Share Posted September 29, 2019 I saw Make it With Michael's two times during our 5 day cruise on the Valor. It was in the main lobby in the morning, if I were to guess they might be on the sea days. The Fun Times and or the Carnival Hub are very helpful to find out what's happening. TIA It is arts and crafts sponsored by Michael’s and run by the fun squad. We had three different crafts (one for each sea day). First were cabin door decorations, second was a art competition about the ship, and the third was cards.

I was wondering if they did some scrapbooking which doesn't seem to be the case. Thanks again
Rare Tapi Posted September 29, 2019 #11 Share Posted September 29, 2019 It was offered on the Fantasy as well. My 7 and 9 year old begged to attend. Go figure.
thekidsandi Posted September 30, 2019 #12 Share Posted September 30, 2019 Has anyone recently on the Legend seen it there?
SarahJeanneSays Posted October 2, 2019 #13 Share Posted October 2, 2019 It was offered when I was on the Splendor last month. I wanted to check it out but never got the chance.
Rare TravelE Posted October 3, 2019 #14 Share Posted October 3, 2019 Yes, on the Breeze but we were told they ran out of supplies about 1 minute after start time. Disappointed!
DryCreek Posted November 9, 2019 #15 Share Posted November 9, 2019 So I take it that this event is geared more towards youth? My wife is into crafts and stuff. I have to endure a spin through Michaels or Hobby Lobby every now and then.
crzndeb Posted November 9, 2019 #16 Share Posted November 9, 2019 (edited) On the 18 seas days recently on the Splendor to Singapore, it sure was. The first sea day we got journals. Sea days after ports were usually just for writing in them, but you could add stamps and other things. Once word got out, the additional sea days got really busy for the other crafts, and people lined up 1/2 hour before they opened the doors. I think my fave was the seashell frame. They usually had crafts at 0900 and 1100. On the last sea day, it was everything has to go. I picked up several stamps for the grandkids (ok, and maybe a couple for me). thekidsandi Posted November 9, 2019 #17 Share Posted November 9, 2019 I was on a recent 15 day cruise on the Legend. They offered about 5 Creativity at Sea sessions, but I don't think it was Michael's. The crafts were geared more toward adults.
Texasl8dy Posted November 9, 2019 #18 Share Posted November 9, 2019 Creativity At Sea is much better than Make It With Michael's. The Michael's crafts are usually just paper things. .

CallistaSkye Posted November 21, 2019 #21 Share Posted November 21, 2019 We just were on the Imagination and they had it on the Sea Day there. Ours was wooden coasters, and then you could stamp an image onto the coaster, and color it with markers. They provided either felts or you could put magnets on the back instead. If you have that available, make sure you wait to use it as a coaster until after you get home and seal the surface with some clear sealant first. Otherwise the ink will bleed everywhere. The staff member running it told us that, but obviously they can't provide spray shellac on a cruise ship to use. We thought it was fun and there was a big range of ages participating.
Cyn874 Posted November 21, 2019 #22 Share Posted November 21, 2019 Is this free? You don't have to pay for the cost of supplies?

Doggielover68 Posted November 23, 2019 #25 Share Posted November 23, 2019 I wanted to do it but they had like 5 glue sticks to share with a huge group of people. Ended up leaving to do something else.
