Haven’t heard any positives about the sugar straws yet. Hopefully they will come up with something better. I wonder what the bartenders think of them. On another note, it appears that there is an entire container full of regular straws. Wonder what it takes to get one of those 🤔
missholly24 Posted October 11, 2019 #27 Share Posted October 11, 2019 AHHHHH I've been patiently waiting for your review on Sunshine. Your reviews are excellent! We leave in 4 weeks for Sunshine, I'm sure you had a great time despite the negative "over crowding" reviews. I try to ignore the naysayers. lol....happy cruising!! I thought the Anytime dining was always in the midship MDR. I don't typically do Anytime but didn't want early (to interfere with Bermuda day) or late (so I could eat sometime in between set dining) and not be too stuffed to head over to the Frog and Onion for a pint after dinner. 😀 I see a Welcome Aboard Happy Hour. I've asked about this on Sunshine, so hoping we'll have it, too. I'm not sure about other ships, but Sunrise was aft for anytime. I've also sailed Pride, but they only have one MDR with two levels (Traditional on the lower level) 3 hours ago, blarko said: Haven’t heard any positives about the sugar straws yet. Wonder what it takes to get one of those 🤔 We received plastic straws with most of our drinks, usually the server would ask if I wanted one. I didn't have any sugar straws, but also didn't have any frozen drinks. Our local coffee shop has two different diameter straws (larger for frozen) and maybe Carnival did too and ran out of the frozen drink plastic straws. I usually got my drinks in the Red Frog Pub on this cruise. They were only serving sugar straws with frozen drinks on Sunrise. Then plastic straws by request (depending on the bartender) with other drinks. Sodas came with no straws.

Glad to have you here! 19 hours ago, BroadwayGirl said: The inside cabin tip about the foghorn on a CA/NE cruise was one of the best tips I picked up from your last Ca/Ne review. Sure enough we met so many people in the Sunshine that hated hearing her fog horn when trying to sleep while we were doing great in our inside. Our CA/NE next year we have an inside again to avoid the dreaded horn. Looking forward to your second leg review as we were on board the first leg with you. The fog horn was used a few times on the next leg, Did we get a chance to meet? Let us know if you show up in any of our pictures, and feel free to chime in any time! We like to get tables either midships Lido near Guy's or aft, near pizza or the seafood line. If my hands were full I had to use my hip to push the button. Looked like I was doing a dance.😀 I always love your reviews, Jeff. Looking forward to the next 12 days.🙂 Always glad to have you along! I remember the foghorn on the Sunshine, however, didn’t think to price inside cabins when looking at the Sunrise. Will not forget now! Hope your roof was repaired quickly. Hey guys! Though we missed not cruising with you this time, glad you didn't book this cruise with what transpired. We will be booking a Bermuda cruise again in the near future, so we'll let you know.

Rare Jamman54 Posted October 11, 2019 Author #47 Share Posted October 11, 2019 (edited) Patti told me that she was going to continue exploring the ship, and eventually head back to the cabin to start unpacking. I would continue to keep Yoki company at the Red Frog Rum Bar. Here’s a view looking down the Atrium….. This is Carnival Adventures (Shore Excursion Desk), located on Deck 3 in the Lobby….. Here is one of several computer hubs located around the ship….. Patti heads up to Deck 4 off the Atrium where you will find the upper level of the Radiance Restaurant on the starboard side, and the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse on the port side….. Here are some views of the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse. We will be dining here on Friday….. To be continued….. Rare Jamman54 Posted October 11, 2019 Author #49 Share Posted October 11, 2019 Here’s a view looking down to Deck 3 of the Radiance Restaurant….. Patti’s next stop is the Java Blue Café, located on Deck 4 off the Atrium….. The Java Blue Café occupies the space that used to be the library on the Triumph. There isn’t a library on the Sunrise, so in the corner they put in some shelves with a very limited supply of books and games…..
