Tuscan Grille First Night Discount

Thinking about reserving a table at the Tuscan Grille (Honeymoon cruise!) and I noticed that they offer a first night discount ($30 vs. the regular $45). Does anyone have any idea why they offer this discount? Are we going to be missing out on anything else going on that night? Huge fear of FOMO.

Nope.....they offer a discounted rate for most specialty restaurants on the first night. We always book Tuscan for that night..it’s our tradition. The menu is the same as any other night. We just enjoy the peace of dining in a smaller venue that first evening. You might want to check Murano.....it is lovely and perfect for a special occasion. Enjoy!

Go for it...Tuscan Grill is a very special venue first night we always book it and on numerous occasions have recommended it on CC. We book it as it opens and ensure a window seat.

You sit by the window watching the port slowly disappear as you sip on a glass of wine and peruse the menu....Light  turns to darkness, the wake of the ship shows you are moving from real life into your fantasy cruise life...We have done this many times, always magical!

Hope you have a fantastic honeymoon cruise!

On port nights on our last cruise, they were offering Tuscan Grill for $25 per person.

You may miss out on the prime rib in the MDR on the first night.

Celebrity Infinity. She's a bit older and ready for drydocking but the price was right, especially after making our own wedding.

We had dinner at Tuscan on infinity earlier this year, food is great , but doesn’t have the great view of solstice class.

Agree it is a wonderful view on S-class ships, unfortunately the OP will not get to see it on the Infinity.

The basic reason is supply and demand however I would look at the menus before committing.   Lately many of the ships are having Prime Rib on the first night in the MDR, I certainly would not want to miss that.    Also, years ago we did a few AQ cruises and BLU was having Filet Mignon  the first night.   Finally, many of these discounts are very often available on other nights of the cruise.

They only offer a limited number of tables at the lower rate. We tried to book months before, and none available online. Called Captain’s Club, and they said we could book onboard. Went to dining as soon as we boarded @ 11:00 am, and only 9:30 pm was available, and they were only offering a 20% discount. So depending on how popular it is on your sailing, if you’re considering, book early. You can always cancel.

It's the first night of your Honeymoon cruise......book it.  MDR is a bit "nutty" the first night anyway (you are not missing anything) and night #2 is usually more dress-up in MDR  (now called evening chic)

Be sure to tell them ( t Tuscan) the occasion before you are seated.  I would call or stop in early on embarkation day and let them know.  They should note it in their record.

We had a great staff at Tuscan on Summit in January.

Congrats and enjoy your honeymoon!
