Maybe gel pads that could help reduce the effects of any ship motion? Got all sorts of jell cushions, I am looking into some special wheels that cost a small fortune but in effect the spokes are shock absorbers. One positive was the concern and consideration shown by a few of the crew, the manager of Alfredo’s sought me out a few times to check how I was and the crew at Wake View went out of their way to ensure that a table was accessible and my Diet Coke was deliver to my hand even when I insisted I was fine to come to the bar. Great service all round, and I don’t think I visited the buffet without numerous staff asking if they could help in any way, including carrying my plate etc. Sorry to hear your body isn't coping well. Hopefully you will find a solution. Great to hear the service was excellent.

I hope you don’t have to cancel any cruises but only you know if your body can cope. I can understand Ames GUT’s concern though. We haven’t cruised this year due to my husband’s hip and spinal issues. He will have a hip replacement early in the new year and his spinal surgeon believes that will help with his back as he should be be able to walk more naturally. But I will see if the medical men have any suggestions. You wouldn’t think the slight sway would hurt as much as it did. welcome home. Very pleased it was an enjoyable trip. if it would help, I have an interesting selection of special potions in my cupboard.

Probably already tried most of them, maxed out on Oxy at 640, Fentanyl patch maximum dose x two patches with Oxy norm as backup and a Ketamine infusion where doctor insisted pain specialist attending person to confirm the dose every time the drip was changed as he had never seen one so high, but nothing really worked they decided my opiate receptors are probably shot. GUT2407 Posted December 16, 2019 Author #120 Share Posted December 16, 2019 Thank you Carole, I can’t say it will be easy if we do decide to stop cruising, road trips are almost totally out and Mrs Gut isn’t allowed fly. The only positive I can see is I won’t need to be away from Maxy. But we haven’t made a final decision yet maybe I was just having a really bad week and next cruise will be fine, we’ll I hope that is the result.
