Tell me about it! Pretty much every penny of every bit of OBC has ended up being spent on Radley handbags in those shops over the years. My wife loves them. 🛒

My last Radley purchase on board was a purse in 2010 for the paltry sum of £48. It's still going strong and believe me it gets plenty of use 😉I don't think I'll find a bargain like that again. Avril I got my Radley purse in 2016 on Oceana. I tend to use purses until they fall apart, so it's got years of use in it yet!

I have bought a couple of Radley handbags onboard previously. On our last cruise I was eyeing up another Radley, wondering whether to treat myself but the following day it had gone- someone else had bought it and there were no more in the stockroom! I have never come across Kipling bags- I thought Kiplings were the cakes in the afternoon tea photo!!
indiana123 Posted August 16, 2020 #4230 Share Posted August 16, 2020 I just googled Kipling bags and they look very much like Troop ones. Troop are my favourites. I'll look out for the Kiplings when and if we start cruising again.
Rare SarahHben Posted August 16, 2020 #4231 Share Posted August 16, 2020 Kipling bags are very lightweight, and don't talk up much space, you can squeeze more into your packing 😊. I've just bought a very small cross body one which will be good for when I'm out walking and only need the basics, phone, keys & mask.

Ditto with handbags - haul them around till they disintegrate and mine are both Radleys (only 2😪 as can't be bothered to keep swopping stuff between bags) - buy replacements in local family-owned department store when they have a sale - Roys of Wroxham for anyone who knows Norfolk. We all seem to have similar taste, perhaps because the Radley logo is either non-existent or very discreet (not a fan of vast gold logos) plus they last forever. I bet the chaps are enjoying this conversation!🤣

Changed a bit since my camping days in that lovely area........ They do. When I first moved here in 1973 I wouldn't have been seen dead in Roys (mind you, I was 20...). In fairly recent years I clothes shopped there for my mother once she was in her 90s and old enough to wear their offerings. In the last few years I think a couple of young Roys have seized power and they now sell a decent range of things. I just hope Covid doesn't finish them off - they must have been struggling over the last few months.

If I were a gambling fan, I'd put money on it that most of us have a Joules (or similar) quilted jacket. My dear daughters call them the winter baby boomer uniform: smart jeans, chinos or similar, loafers, sensible jumper (with scarf, artistically tied) or collared shirt, and padded jacket.

I have already rejected my 'O' level results from 1969 as I always knew I was an unrecognised genius. Didn't stay on for A levels, but that won't stop me getting straight A*s now.
