Still got to be examined on it, but that is 8 1/2 yrs (a few months added due to broken arms and the pandemic) work. I am glad that the thread is still going, It is lovely to see updates from familiar names. So nice to hear about weddings, breakfasts and trips. Sorry to hear about little fur baby not being too well - our furry friends are so precious. I am happy to be back. Congratulations on completing your PhD .

Shall I give a "shout out" or not?? Welcome back, and congratulations on handing your PhD thesis -- that's 95% of it. The oral examination is the easy part... I am in the minority as I always preferred written to oral with regard to anything in the realm of education.

Growing up in Buffalo, school was on unless it snowed more than about 6 inches. They were equipped with plows and salt trucks to clear the roads overnight. The worst that I remember was the blizzard of 77, when there was so much snow that people were literally snowed into their houses. Snowmobiles were needed to deliver food to many houses. As a kid though, it was a winter wonderland. i go back to the blizzard of ‘47 .I have pictures of walking through the snow.

It is better if it happens now, as awful as it is. Poor Maggie. I hope they put her stuff away before they leave. It is much more devastating to come home to it. Poor Greg & Linda. I know we are thinking the worst. I am thinking about them. Poor baby. Edited November 4, 2021 by Coralc 4
