Wonderful cruise plans. And it sounds like you had a special memory making 50th Anniversary!

I never do well with self checkout.  I always encounter an issue and have to call the clerk over.

BTW, my sister's covid test came back NEGATIVE.  Yea!!

My earache is now a slight dull ache I can live with until it's gone.

Great news re your sister,Bonnie.

Thanks, Debbie.  I went onto my cruise page and saw the railway tour listed, among other excursions.  I haven't gone on my Celebrity page yet.  After going on RCI, I started looking to see if there was anything I could tag on to the Bella cruise to make our first B2B.  Uh oh, I may be calling my TA to see about booking a Jewel of the Seas on March 6, (Jim's Birthday) 2023.  We would have to change ships, but both Jewel and Oasis are out of Miami.  How bad could that be?🤷‍♀️.  I've just never had more than 2 cruises booked before, and right now we've got 4.  I'd better get on a ship fast, before I get too out of control.

March 6 is the birthday of two of my all time closest friends.

Had a lot of trouble posting and liking posts. WIFI was terrible!

Mallory is in my thoughts. Wishing her the best.
Lenny, I can imagine how worried you and the family is, but around her and for her, you have to be strong, very strong..........worries transmit like osmosis and you do not want this sweet child to worry.

Everything will work out with Mallory. We all are praying.

Her parents have been making every day very special for her.

There is no way I will ever be caught up on my favorite threads.

It is like I am starting fresh reading this site.

So bear with me if I seem out of the loop.

I have and will continue to pray for those in need, as well as in my heart congratulate milestones.

Here as I type I have "THE CAT' who has not even left my side and slept on my feet last night.

DH back to work.  I set the alarm for 6:30 am.  But it never went off for some reason🙄

After being away from my home computer, I just now have been encountering CC posting trouble.

I had not one issue while on our vacation.

Now as I sit at the computer and the chair and computer are swaying (sea leggs)

.

Today is a busy day.

First to the bank to make a significant deposit, thanks to the casino.

Then to our accountant to start paying state and federal taxes, I do not want to get killed come tax season.

Then to the TA and thanking her for not booking us in adjoining seats on our return flights, but thanks to kind people it worked out.

Then to buy food.

Then the best part, to start the wash and ironing.

So it is great to be home, but better to be cruising.

And yup booked an Allure sailing for next May, had a little extra time and $$ to work with.

Take care.

Sue

The fake, manufactured drama is what’s kept me from watching so far.  But the comments I’ve read about the beautiful scenery are what makes me want to give it a try.

Give it a go.  I think alcohol helps in making some of the drama.  It typically happens on turn around nights, when the crew gos out for dinner and drinks. 🍹

Yes, that is the first place I'd be headed to as well.

I had always read here on CC that the casino took the tax portion off of the winnings when it was a sizeable amount.  However your case shows that is not the case, at least not as of now.  Like you said, it is best to know the damage now that has to be paid back later.

On a side note, here in Canada you do not have to pay tax on lottery winnings.  That being said the biggest lotto win was $60 million.  We have no Power Ball here, but I'd accept any amount of lotto win.😉

It is 09.30am here and it is 55°F and cloudy.

It is 3 years since Pauline's lovely mam died so we will be going to the remembrance room at the Crematorium later.

I hope everyone has a nice day.

Graham.

Thoughts to you both today in memory of Pauline's mother.

@A&L_Ont

My DH has always wanted to go back to Canada and see the Canadian side.

We went to the American side last fall as a getaway.

I am sure I can talk him into a weekend getaway to Clifton hill walk to the falls  and if by chance we see a casino...............................................................................

It is what it is.

Dani and Sue from England,

I cannot find the post where you both mentioned the June 13 Beyond cruises. We could not decide.....actually we could not find a time period when nothing was booked, so we got an open booking (Book Later is what they call it, and have 90 days to pick a ship and sail date). We also booked one for March 2022 out of FLL. We will be on the Edge again 10/23 sailing and maybe we will get one more open booking.

Everybody onboard was very happy for Captain Kate and said they will miss her.

It's even better if you drink along with them.

Operation air condition and heat pump the garage is now under way. All three bays are getting units run off a base station, similar to what they use in the Caribbean. Should be done tomorrow.  We are keeping the eclectic heater as a back up.

One guy is working inside.

That's one thing I would like to do is get some heat to my garage during the winter. We've had frozen pipes twice that broke over the years. Problem is I would have to have it rewired for 220v instead of the 110v that it is currently.

Btw, your security cameras look great.
