So glad to hear you've recovered from your Vertigo.  My poor sister's been having a Dickens of a time with hers and has been going to PT for help

Has your sister tried going to an Occupational Therapist instead of a Physical Therapist?  An OT should be able to try the Epley Maneuver (or similar, there are a few others) to see if that gives any help.  She can also try doing them herself from home.

I don't know why docs don't try Epley first.  I had a patient in the hospital who was admitted for vertigo and was getting all kinds of medications to treat the symptoms, but nobody tried fixing the cause of the problem.  And of course I work nights, so I never got a chance to discuss treatment with the doctors myself.  I told the patient to discuss it with her doctor the next day (and she had me write it on her whiteboard so she wouldn't forget what it's called) and the next night she was feeling better and she was discharged the next day.

I've dealt with orthostatic hypotension (blood pressure drops when standing up, sometimes to the point where you faint) on and off through the years, and I can't imagine being constantly or randomly dizzy every day.  I hope your sister finds some relief!

Quick ball update…

Owen’s team is in the semi finals tomorrow.  Tonight they beat the second place team from regular season 9-2.   Yes, that was the same team they beat earlier in the week to be ranked first.

It’s a double elimination and we have had one loss so far so it’s do or die tomorrow.

God luck to Owen.

I am hoping your weather cooperates and all are safe.

Here in Ohio we are supposed to be in the low 90s with high humidity.

Just wondering what your weather will be like north of the border?

We are taking both GTO's to a car cruise in as a fund raiser for the Fowler Historical Society, about 5 miles north of where we live.

I am fortunate my GTO has air and the Spouse's GTO is just windows.  He is going to be sweating his ***** off getting there.

Have a safe weekend all................

My GP sent me to the OT before I was sent to the Specialist.  The Specialist does 2hrs of tests and a MRI.  Pretty thorough here in dealing with Vertigo.

My diagnosis both times has been (work) stress and anxiety meds have helped a lot.  Everyone who knows me have been stunned that I needed anxiety meds as they all keep telling me I am the calmest and unruffled person but intense stress can show up in weird ways.

Oooh, which sailing?  Maybe we can meet up.

We can.  1/22.  I was wondering how long it would take for you to notice.  😆 I thought about surprising you but some things are just to hard to hide.

Not much going on on our 1/22 cruise page.

Cool.  That will be my middle cruise.  I'll be with my son and his GF.  He'll be newly sprung from the Army, and his GF has never cruised before.  I'm looking forward to showing them some of my fave places to go in Costa Maya, Cozumel, and Roatan.

Looks like you're having a great cruise.  I was going to say that it looks like good weather until I saw your overcast tram picture.  Did you try a duck fart?  It's on my list.

Yes I did.  🙀

Not sure what we will do.  Still have are minds on October Allure.  In Cozumel we usually go to Nachi Cocom.  Nice limited beach. We have been to Costa Maya but it was because of a port change so all we did was roam around the port for awhile.   We will probably venture out this time.  We have never been to Roatan.  DW's bother spent a month there so I am sure he will have good advice.  Each year he goes somewhere for awhile and does a history YouTube on it.  He's a history teacher.

That week we'll probably do Paradise Beach Club in Cozumel.  Doing the Bar Hop the week before. You should have heard my kid when I told him there's an actual excursion where they take you around in a bus to different bars! It's a 20-something's dream tour! LOL

In Costa Maya we'll likely do Maya Chan.  I like getting my puppy-dog fix on a cruise!  LOL

Roatan that week will probably be West Bay Beach for swimming and snorkeling (and drinking, for the kids).  Probably going to take them to Daniel Johnson's Monkey and Sloth Hangout the first week for sloth hugs and snorkeling.

I second this!  Royal's Peach Daiquiri mix is to die for!  I get them without booze, and it's like a dessert -- SO good!

I usually get them that way too..... but sometimes I forget to ask for them that way. 🤔  I used to live on Miami Vice until I tried peach.

I just made me and Sharon a Peach one.  I use Monin Peach puree.  They also have the smoothie syrup but I prefer the puree.  Making them has helped me keep my weight down.  I used to drink a milkshake about every night before I started making these.

When I got one on Ovation by the pool there were chunks of ice in it.  I took it back and the bartender said it is like that because of the size of ice they are using.  😆 I explained to him I make them all the time and all you have to do is blend it a little longer.   It fixed the problem.  😆

LOL, what a silly excuse... those blenders are strong enough to grind up a golf ball!

And after it blends for 2 seconds how large are the ice cubes.  😆 I have noticed that if you lack enough liquid it can be a challenge.   Just an oz or 2 can make a difference but as many as they make each day they should have that down.  I bet they use the programmed blenders.

I've noticed that it can depend on how busy they are, too -- if they're trying to get them out more quickly b/c they have a line, they pull them off before they shut off on their own.

I make frozen drinks all the time at home. It takes a little getting used to but the key is letting is blend enough so that's it a smoothie without ice chunks. Poor excuse on the bartender. He just didn't blend it long enough.

Totally agree. I do feel sorry for them as they have to crank out a lot of frozen drinks but the bottom line is blend it long enough to make to smooth and creamy not chunky.

…Passed by the Sydney YHA - The Rocks, discovered  it has an archeological site on it’s lower level and adjacent to it. The foyer looks nice and it has a rooftop that has spectacular view of the harbour.  Speaking of rooftop views, after checking out the lower levels of Sydney YHA (The Rocks)…

We have looked at the digs several times before. We used to walk by there from the Shangri La on our way to the roof top pub above the Glenmore Hotel. Last time was in 2018. So can anyone go to the rooftop of the YHA? We never went into the hostel so we didn’t know about the rooftop. We will be there in a little over 2 months.

I love the Monin stuff.  I bought a case (4 bottles) of the peach last week.  What I like about the puree is that you can leave it out on the counter.   Once you open the smoothie mix it needs to be refrigerated.  Monin is used around the world.  I got a smoothie once at a bus terminal in Phnom Penh and they were using Monin puree.  I discovered it a Lakeside several years ago.

My Vitamix came with a stick that stays above the blades so if you need to push stuff down you will not hit the blades.  That is nice when I want to make one that has no extra water in it.

Do you had lime juice to your Daiquiri drinks?
