I have my slippers and diffuser but the rest of the experience isn't going so well. No one has delivered drinks, I can't find the buffet, meal choices and quality are not as good and the cleaning leaves a lot to be desired compared to onboard. The staff are nowhere near as obliging - DH is a poor butler and flatly refuses to escort me anywhere.

This at home cruising isn't for me 🤣🤣

Thanks for a truly great laugh!

bawahahaha hilarious

though we did meet a fellow who BRAGGED that he put the minis in his suitcase. I was dumbfounded... Asked him WHY he had to take the minis home when he had an open bar/plenty of food options in YC--

He said he really "liked" the minis....

Made me think he couldn't really afford to be there--or was a cheapskate.

Cannot imagine what he tipped/or didn't tip his butler and other servers.

A fellow passenger on one of our trips removed their minis every day and took them home. I received a photo post trip and had no idea how to respond.

Although I always bring the pillow chocolates home so I can't judge!

I am pleased to report that my at home cruise butler has been more attentive today and as we we're able to collect our grocery order today the food choices were better this evening 😀

I was tempted to get out our last daily planners and introduce theme nights and a dress code but fear DH will finally think I've lost it 😂

Mixed experience in the 'at home' cruise today. We've had an improvement in the weather, Ireland not being known for its Caribbean climate but it's been sunny and moderately warm. So, I ventured outside 'on deck'. Sadly there were no sun loungers available, none at all! No pool bar or buffet and I couldn't locate the swimming pool. Usually there are puddles at least 😀 The hot tub experience was a disaster too, tried to use the small water feature we have in the garden but apparently the pump is broken.

Sunday lunch was fabulous but the butler has been very absent again 😂

Such deprivations!  When will such cease?

My experience was better. As usual, it is warm and sunny. The pool is just outside my living room. While I am not a sun worshiper and prefer  to be in the shade on my lanai, there is plenty of seating available.

I also got to watch the pool boy (husband) bend over while cleaning the pool.

Doesn't it SHOCK you that people are so cheap, so greedy- to stuff snacks and minis in their bags???!!!

We didn't eat/drink anything from our minibar and felt guilty about the nightly snacks for YC

We didn't go to "tea" and we didn't eat from the snacks at the YC bar or YC pool bar...

mind you--we make good use of YC dinner!

It is shocking that people want snacks and minis of gin?!  And then BRAG about it? WTH

Does anyone actually think the ships taste good? I find the chocolate very hard to bite into, and a bit crumbly after that.... That said I always bring it home, if there is room after including the robes, sheets, miniatures from mini-bar, towels, that type of thing.

Hi Cap'n

Totally agree about the choc ships - I'd never eat one in company lol.  It really isn't great chocolate, either, but handy when a choc craving comes on and there's nothing else available  😃

Hi Bea,

Trust you are keeping well in these strange times.

I'd possible nuke it in the microwave and put it in a cake or something.... but I've never found myself asking for extra, unlike the diffuser or other items! 🤪

Sadly, I had my last bite of chocolate ship the other day.

I need an MSC Store, to buy chocolate, diffusers, fragrance!  Anything to help remind me of those good times besides my journal.

Never thought to do any "searching" about this.  MSC doesn't have an online store for people to purchase company-related products like some hospitality companies do?

Sadly not.

Although after having a sort out around the house recently I think I could possibly open an online store myself. Lots of toiletries, hats, ships and slippers 😁

Maybe they will develop such an online store in the "new world of cruising to be".  My inbox frequently has e-mails encouraging me to buy products from Marriott, Sheraton, etc.  I am relatively sure that most of the CCL brands have online stores on their web sites as well.

Fox, Put them on ebay!  I bet some of us who are missing MSC would buy things!

rka, a shop like that is exactly what I want.  (All those evenings I browsed in the shops aboard and didn't buy...….)

What little I know about eBay, establishing a presence requires "work".  Interested in the types of MSC products that we would like to buy probably would not command the kind of pricing that would make someone establish such an account.

I did think about it but as I've no idea when we'll be cruising again I'm going to save them all.

Businesses can have Ebay shops and it's very easy to do. MSC are definitely missing an opportunity.
