Izzywiz Posted October 1, 2020 #907 Share Posted October 1, 2020 I really hope that these Ts do not offend any of you because T is for toilet. I live in Stoke-on-Trent, the home of toilets, and we even have a museum dedicated to them! My husband used to work for Armitage Shanks so toilets are a bit of an obsession... I had to include these although they were taken on a land tour in Kyrgyzstan Shanghai Ephesus Park, Turkey, Splendour of the Seas Toilet key pad for our hotel toilet in Tokyo. We were too scared to try anything except ordinary flushing Toilet in the Executive Lounge at Shanghai Airport with instructions. I couldn't stop laughing when I read them... 3

Izzywiz Posted October 1, 2020 #909 Share Posted October 1, 2020 Our guide on the Irrawaddy River cruise told us that we would absolutely love the Swedagon Temple in Yangon on our first day. He said we would love the temple on the second day and like the temple on the third day but by the 13th day we would be saying "thank goodness, the LBT at last." You British call it the 'Last Bl***Y Temple! We saw a huge number of temples but surprisingly, they were all very different so we enjoyed seeing them all. Bagan was stunning. It was such a shame that the balloon ride was cancelled because of the rain 6

We've found him on the bed, in the bed, lounging on the sofa, peeping out of the wardrobe, watching TV, relaxing with a packet of biscuits and a 'coffee', looking in the mirror 'combing his hair' and once found him sat on the toilet. The best one? In the shower complete with shower cap, shower gel and sponge. That one took a while to find.😆 On the way back to the cabin we used to guess as to where he would be. It was such a shame that the balloon ride was cancelled because of the rain We love the temples and have visited many in different countries, from the large important city temples to the smaller village ones. As you say each one is different, but each have their own special beauty and a unique feeling of peace and tranquility when you step inside. I know this will sound odd, but I always felt 'at home' Avril
Izzywiz Posted October 1, 2020 #923 Share Posted October 1, 2020 (edited) Tana Lot, Bali Terracotta Warriors and Tang Dynasty show, Xian, China Table Mountain, Cape Town. The first picture is the view from the kitchen balcony of the apartment where we stayed before our cruise. We had booked a small apartment but when we arrived we were told that it was being renovated. The manager askes if we minded staying in a different one and we were escorted to the penthouse! What an upgrade and what a view during breakfast... Taipei, Taiwan Tianjin, China Edited October 1, 2020 by Izzywiz spacing and labels
