jaydee6969 Posted November 11, 2021 #276 Share Posted November 11, 2021 Update from Meyer Werft webcam: Views of the floating megablock, and Arvia's bow coming together. It also looks like a block with the theatre is waiting for assembly. 1

Monorail Orange Posted December 4, 2021 Author #278 Share Posted December 4, 2021 P&O have just publised a short video on their socials advertisting "Altitude" - a mini golf and rope climbing course on Arvia's deck 19. It looks similar to ones alreayd found on MSC, Carnival and RCI ships. Certianly not one for me. Its got a positive response in the comments section - so I guess I'm the odd one out. We booked a cruise on Anthem of the seas. It's got a dodgem car track. Let's hope P&O, Saga, Fred etc follow that lead.🤣

jaydee6969 Posted January 16, 2022 #283 Share Posted January 16, 2022 Slight error on the last post, the video was labelled incorrectly and the parts were in fact for the Silver Nova and not Arvia. Thank you admins for removing on my behalf. New video of Arvia and Wish sections on the Ems and through the locks. 1
Bin man Posted January 16, 2022 #284 Share Posted January 16, 2022 It amazes me how they get the bits in with a tight squeeze and even more when it fits together and they get it out .Wonder if they have got one stuck on its completion?
jaydee6969 Posted January 18, 2022 #285 Share Posted January 18, 2022 (edited) New Meyer Werft photos. Bridge section being lowered into place, and my fav place on Iona, the Crows Nest. Edited January 18, 2022 by jaydee6969 4
jaydee6969 Posted January 18, 2022 #286 Share Posted January 18, 2022 Auto translate from German, from Meyer Werft social media feed.:- When almost 500 tons float through the hall, then it requires special attention from the crane leader and colleagues on the ground and on board. Only if the communication is right, a gigantic structure like the bridge of a cruise ship can be installed precisely. When installing the 496 ton heavy bridge block for the ARVIA, everything was fit: communication, team spirit, cooperation and in the end the block on the ship. 3

molecrochip Posted January 24, 2022 #290 Share Posted January 24, 2022 Becuase work is still taking place on the Disney ship behind Arvia, the ship is being constructed in a different order to Iona. One the Disney ship floats out, the megablock will be dragged in, connected and then the stern of the ship assembled. Ariva should then be ready for float out. 1
jaydee6969 Posted January 28, 2022 #291 Share Posted January 28, 2022 Not for Arvia, but interesting none the less. Meyer Werft video of Aidacosma construction, Carnival company and same class as Iona/Arvia.
jaydee6969 Posted February 3, 2022 #292 Share Posted February 3, 2022 Video of Disney Wish, which is due to float out soon making roof for Arvia sections to be joined. Arvia's floating section is at the end of the video.
jaydee6969 Posted February 6, 2022 #293 Share Posted February 6, 2022 As you may have seen elsewhere, Disney Wish has been delayed due to technical issues. The tugs have left the harbour to resume work elsewhere. Due back in a few days to resume float out, then the drydock can be reconfigured to suit Arvia. Hopefully videos of the manoeuvres will be done by EMS Dollart-Media as before, and will post as soon as. Hope you all enjoy this update thread, probably one of the only reasons for coming back onto here for me. 2

jaydee6969 Posted February 14, 2022 #297 Share Posted February 14, 2022 Both sections of Arvia are in the assembly hall now. Still will need to be repositioned in the future I believe. Hopefully a video will come along later.
molecrochip Posted February 16, 2022 #298 Share Posted February 16, 2022 Arvia’s keel laying ceremony yesterday. You should now see the mega block and bow sections joined fairly quickly. Stern section should also take place at pace once that’s done. Photo from P&O/MW
