Corunna was one of the ports I was particularly looking forward to. A new port for us and looked easy to explore on a DIY basis It's one of those ports that are good for just wandering. Hope that's not a thing of the past.

mrsgoggins Posted February 12, 2021 #84 Share Posted February 12, 2021 Warnemunde is another ‘get off and walk round’ German port that we are fond of.
Aulanis Posted February 12, 2021 #85 Share Posted February 12, 2021 Yesterday I couldnt remember being here until DW reminded me about the very long walk to the lighthouse and your pictures. It was on a cruise from Malaga to Newcastle 2017 so now I have found my pics. -See if you can spot the one of stonehenge??? I apologise in advance if I am posting too many In fact I will split them up a bit through the day. The walk seemed longer as the lighthouse kept coming into view and then vanishing making me wonder if we were ever going to get there let alone get back!!! (8.30 start)
Gettingwarmer Posted February 12, 2021 Author #86 Share Posted February 12, 2021 Yes it’s a long walk to the lighthouse. We did a little tour from a local company at the docks.
Aulanis Posted February 12, 2021 #87 Share Posted February 12, 2021 Here are some things other than buildings we saw - this is why we really do not like ships trips. The ceramic?enamel?pictures on the lamp-posts were great I wanted to stop and photograph each one!!
Jennizor Posted February 12, 2021 #88 Share Posted February 12, 2021 Fantastic photos Aulanis. We are fortunate to have a wood and farmland to look out to at the back of our house and we see cows, sheep, deer and the occasional fox. After nearly a year of looking out to this though, it has lost it’s magic. We yearn for the sights that have been shown on here.
Britboys Posted February 12, 2021 #89 Share Posted February 12, 2021 Visited A Coruna twice, most recently on Oriana. Thought I would post a few photos that show a different side to the town than some of those posted so far. Hope you like them.
Britboys Posted February 12, 2021 #90 Share Posted February 12, 2021 And I must say that I am a little surprised no-one has mentioned the man and woman that greet you outside the Exhibition Centre beside the Cruise Terminal building...

Rare DamianG Posted February 12, 2021 #92 Share Posted February 12, 2021 A lovely day in A Coruña for us. The science museum, a nice stroll through the shopping alleys then a cracking lunch at Pulpeira Maria Pita before an easy walk back to the ship for sailaway drinks on the balcony.

Local tours are a fair bit cheaper. Just watch out when you do a off road tour.

nicki-k Posted February 13, 2021 #99 Share Posted February 13, 2021 We arrived in Lisbon in thick fog and left in beautiful sunshine. The little Parakeet couldn't fly out of the slipstream so travelled onto Porto with us, the crew said this happens frequently.
