Today we reach the last ports of our Grand Around the Word Voyage before we dock for the final time in Southampton tomorrow. We  are visiting the ports on the western mainland of Wales and England.

 

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gettingwarmer for instigating and guiding this epic journey for the first half of the cruise. Thank you also to all the passengers who have contributed so many amazing photographs, interesting anecdotes and encouraging comments which have helped to make this thread so uplifting in these unusual times.

I wish you all a successful return to cruising and many more years of travelling our beautiful world.

We didn't quite equal Phileas Fogg as it has taken us 86 days to do our circumnavigation of the world but we have visited so many more amazing places and seen so many wonderful and inspiring sights.

As we disembark in Southampton today, I would like to say thank you again to Gettingwarmer for starting the thread and to all the posters who have supported the journey. It has given me a lot of pleasure charting our progress and scouring our photographs to find appropriate pictures. 

All that is left to say is Bon Voyage and happy cruising

Thank you to Getting Warmer, Izzy and everyone who contributed to this and all the other photo threads. I know I don't post photos (because I don't know how🙄)but I have enjoyed this, and the other photo threads very much, and am sad to see them end. They have bought back wonderful memories of past holidays and cruises, and stirred some long forgotten memories too. I also have an ever-growing bucket list and loved the photos of Norway as we are/should be making out first visit at the end of October 2021. I hope that some-one will take up the mantle again as I'm sure these threads will be missed by many.

Thank you to Gettingwarmer and Izzywiz for organising this thread and to all of you who have posted your wonderful photos. It’s brought back many happy memories of the places we have visited and given inspiration for more places to hopefully visit in the future.

I have finished the itinerary index for our trip which can be found in my signature at the moment.  However I am going to try and insert it here.

The place names  are  links to the first post in that place in this thread.

The number is the number of the first post.

This will enable people to pick out places they may wish to revisit

without wading through the entire thread. Hope it works if not I will

have to re think it.    Of course you have to know its at the  end of 

the thread in order to find it LOL.    I will also  leave the list in my spreadsheets until I need the space.

great post. i did all these ports too, just not the elusive guernsey for some reason.
