GottaLuvCruising Posted March 21, 2021 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2021 (edited) If I could go back one year, I'd take the refund. I hope we can cruise in the future, but we have $9K in credits that we'll have to use by May 2022. Parents won't let granddaughters cruise until they are vaccinated and we are limited to school vacations. Rock meet hard place. Rare Ombud Posted March 21, 2021 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2021 You can ask that it be refunded. You'll lose the Goodwill FCC but can get back what you paid
phabric Posted March 21, 2021 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2021 On Princess webinar this week, he said that FCC dates will be changing to sail and book by Dec 2022. It is going to take time to change everyone’s FCC. 4
Rare Ombud Posted March 21, 2021 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2021 (edited) Some of mine were pushed out to 2023 so I could use them on a particular booking!! Edited March 21, 2021 by Ombud
GottaLuvCruising Posted March 21, 2021 Author #5 Share Posted March 21, 2021 Well, this is encouraging. I will call tomorrow to ask for a refund. That should leave us adequate funds for spring break 2022... Each response was helpful. Thank you all.

voljeep Posted March 21, 2021 #7 Share Posted March 21, 2021 no regrets here - turned $ 1,000 paid into $ 2,000 FCC still knowing I could get back the amount paid around July 2021 - 1 year from cruise cancellation no worries - currently applied to a 4/2022 cruise - but may bump it up to a Thanksgiving cruise (if it goes) to replace the one cancelled in 2020 that "earned" the bonus FCC
dog Posted March 21, 2021 #8 Share Posted March 21, 2021 I didn’t have the choice of cash. Had to take FCC and appreciate how Princess dealt with me. Love got at the end of the tunnel- to me it looks like some cruises will happen in 2022.
Rare CineGraphic Posted March 21, 2021 #9 Share Posted March 21, 2021 We doubled our money on 4 bookings. No regrets here.

Rare AnyMajorCruiseDude Posted March 21, 2021 #11 Share Posted March 21, 2021 I agree. We've multiplied our balances substantially. If I had taken refunds, I'd just have to turn around and pay again without any extra to spend!
Rare azbirdmom Posted March 21, 2021 #12 Share Posted March 21, 2021 No regrets here either. As others have said, they've extended the use-by dates and also will refund the actual cash amount FCCs upon request.
Rare AnyMajorCruiseDude Posted March 21, 2021 #13 Share Posted March 21, 2021 It's hard to wait, but its really just a delay. If you could afford the original cost, and are patient, your enhanced FCC offer will protect your original outlay. Otherwise, you have cash, perhaps, but will have to pay inflated prices. If you are ultimately going to select a cruise as your vacation, the only smart move is to take the FCC offer.
Rare Tak8 Posted March 21, 2021 #14 Share Posted March 21, 2021 No regrets. I turned 1 cruise into almost 3. I want to cruise again. I was part of Pause 1. Great deal. Fingers crossed for New Years aboard the Regal.
Rare CineGraphic Posted March 21, 2021 #15 Share Posted March 21, 2021 With vaccinations here in the US ramping up, combined with FCCs burning holes in people's pockets, demand is high, so there were lots of price increases last week. The bonus FCCs help absorb the price increases.
jagoffee Posted March 21, 2021 #16 Share Posted March 21, 2021 Absolutely no regrets. I will take that return any day. And I can just change my mind and get the cash and just lose the Goodwill FCC.
