Recommended Posts

Darwin ports is showing 2 interesting ship visitis in 2023/24

1st one is the unnamed Lady ship of Virgin Cruise lines. Her arrival date is Sunday 26 November 2023. There is also anther entry for Friday 05 April 2024.

The other entry of interest is Celebrity Edge on 1st December 2023. That has now disappeared.

Also Melbourne ports have a number of ship doing turnarounds as TBA's

Will be very interesting to see how AU/NZ ship movements unfold in coming years.

Perhaps part of World Cruise itineraries - yet to be disclosed / sold?

Our 35 day trip to Hawaii in 2023 is on the Coral Princess which is a swing back to the smaller 2000 passenger ships like the older Dawn Princess and her sister ships. Maybe they listened to the people who prefer the smaller ships.

Been on Coral Princess, great size ship, good facilities.  She is a bit bigger than Dawn Princess.  Did Panama Canal on Coral.

No, I don't think it has anything to do with what some of their passengers prefer. She's a replacement for Sea Princess to do the long cruises, especially the world cruises if they ever happen again.

Just checking Adelaide Port Schedule and Celebrity Edge is showing in port 9 and 10 April 2024

Rhapsody of the seas shows on Adelaide in 23-24 season.

I believe it is supposed to be in the Mediterranean then.

 Probably a place holder.

Yes, and also in Darwin on 22 February 2024. Looks like a round AU trip.

I can’t see a vision class coming to Australia.

The vision are doing well in the Mediterranean and small ports in Europe.
‘It would have to be a place holder .

Would Rhapsody fit under the harbour bridge?

Possibly it could be Rhapsody ,Dubai in our off season.

I do remember that Legend did fit under the harbour bridge, but not sure on Rhapsody.

Don't forget that Sydney Ports, prior to be taken down, was showing  Golden Princess / Pacific Adventure going to White Bay!

Both vision class ?

Maybe they are thinking of getting around Sydney port congestion with a smaller ship.

Yes, but Legend had a gross tonnage of 69,130, whilst Rhapsody is 78,491.

I guess if Golden Princess/Pacific Adventure can get under the coathanger then I am sure Rhapsody will be able to.
