You helped many of us love them again! I went to Curacao many many yrs ago with my parents.. no tour busses..just a pvt guide &, no big modern bridge. Cars and pedestrians crossed the pontoon bridge..no cars now! May have been a ferry..memories fade..still have old polaroids someplace! On more recent trips I often thought of being there with my parents..Great Memories! Hope you and lain enjoy the rest of your cruise and that lovely balcony! pmcue Posted September 24, 2021 #2081 Share Posted September 24, 2021 This has been incredibly helpful to get a peek at cruising re opening. We sail the 12 day in November. I did have one question. When they are having positive for Covid passengers, is it because they are ill or are they doing regular testing?

I really believe each cruise will help the industry return to normal or a new normal. While we were initially a little apprehensive about returning to cruising so early, Celebrity has done a fantastic job to minimize infections. Their protocols seem to be working and I would have not qualms of booking another cruise. (As I sit looking at the "Book Now or Book Later). I think we may buy a couple future booking credits. I guess you have to book within 90 days to get the promo but if not used will be refunded at the end of 1 year for a full refund.

The crew is being tested weekly. PAX are only tested 2 days prior to embarkation and for Back to Back's and International travelers 1 day before the end of the cruise The Covid Passengers have been self reporting to the Medical Office. I really appreciate their honesty and concern for fellow passengers I just wonder how many don't or are asymptomatic.

We have not eaten in a restaurant for nearly 2 years. It is so special to spend quality time together and just linger over dinner. We go late and usually the last to leave.

I think i’d want treatment as early as possible which could be a driving force. I just can’t figure out how id recognize most symptoms as they are all normal to me, when traveling. Well, maybe not the vomiting! Fevers are rare but I’m guessing I’ll rely on that as my cue if I ever need one. All of this makes self reporting even more incredible for me to watch happen. Safe journeys home, for sure. I’m due in Barbados in January, hoping they get themselves back on the road to recovery by then. fwiw, there are now articles being written about Europe and others considering vaccinations expired in 9 months, and even 6 months. I can’t imagine the logistics of that but had considered it a future problem for my April sailing. Now it’s being said out loud!

It began in 1976 as a daily column in the San Francisco Chronicle and was so popular that it eventually progressed to 4 books and a couple movies. It was fun as many of the action were based on real life streets and alley ways on Nob Hill. I read the whole series and absolutely loved it!

She is lovely; she ran the slot tournament, and I had a treat getting to meet her at that (which, I still cannot believe I won!) 2
