Exactly my problem. Please let us know, Princess. If there are replacement cruises we should be first in line for those as well.  But BEFORE we hand over cash (our final payment is due in less than two weeks). Or, give us the courtesy of extending the final payment date from 90 days to 60.

Yesterday Princess made changes to its onboard testing protocols which should allow us to cruise to Hawaii in January 2022.

For select cruises, including Panama Canal Full Transits and voyages 15 days and longer, guests will likely have a COVID-19 test administered 3-5 days into their voyages. For voyages 15 days and longer specifically, guests will be tested every 7 days thereafter. The tests will be scheduled and administered by the onboard medical team and will be provided on a complimentary basis.

Positive COVID-19 cases will be assessed and treated either in their stateroom, or in a designated area of the Medical Center in a single occupancy ward. Positive cases that do not require admission to the ship’s medical center, or medical disembarkation, will most likely be moved to a different cabin for the duration of their isolation.

If you, your family members, travelling companions or other close contacts are quarantined or medically isolated during your voyage as a result of a positive COVID-19 test or are suspected of having COVID-19, you are entitled to a 100% Future Cruise Credit for missed cruise days, including time in quarantine, for you, your travel party, and any confirmed close contacts, if any of you test positive during your cruise.

This testing policy will be reviewed on a regular basis as the global situation continues to evolve. Anyone who doesn’t comply with the onboard public health measures may be disembarked at the first available opportunity. Other consequences could include being denied service, required stateroom isolation and being banned from sailing in the future. If you are non-compliant, no refund of the cruise fare for unused cruise days or travel expenses (if flying home) will be covered. If your travel party is impacted and/or they are required or voluntarily choose to leave with you, the same policies will apply to them: there will be no refund of cruise fare for unused cruise days or coverage of travel expenses home

Anyone heard any rumors?

Spoke to my Princess PVP last week who assured me they would be releasing the excursions soon and the delay is simply due to the fact this is a new port so they were working/negotiating with vendors (tour operators, bus companies, etc) to finalizing pricing.

I hate to give Princess almost $7,000 for a Hawaii cruise in January that possibly may not happen. Due in a couple of weeks.

I think if Princess doesn't know yet if we will sail, the due date for our money needs to be extended to a later date.

We had a 1/4/22 for HI. Cancelled last month. Same reason...prefer to wait and hang onto our $$, rather than let Princess hold it.

You’re not coming?  What about your “tour guide”?

Just a thought. Consider rebooking for Feb. 13th. Nov. 15th is the last payment date. From the $$, sounds like you got a balcony, which is sold out on our cruise as of last night, but it would be great to talk to another retired RCP on the ship. As far as Princess holding your money, this cruise is costing us little with so much FCC from 3 cancelled cruises. I wouldn't worry about it.

Admittedly rose colored glasses here, but the CDC order moves to optional in mid Jan. Princess may change their policy in response, which currently runs through the end of Feb.

Tour operators will drive to Kahului. It's the cost of doing business.

No, we had a WS. ☹️

Would have been our first. Already moved to a cruise in April. Hoping it will be less crazy by then.

Maybe, on another cruise we'll meet. Love to share stories from the "old" days. My registry # is 4372. Waaay back at the beginning. I actually worked for a man whose # was in the teens.

Our cruise is 1/4/22 on the Grand. I haven't received anything about a cancellation.

I've wondered as well about shore excursions in Kahului.

Wonder why Princess changed  the port to Kahului from   Lahania  .  Lajania port although a tender port has so much more to offer the tourist  than Kahului . You can do so many more do it yourself things from Lahania ,unless the whole idea is to sell more ship tours

FWIW ,the Needle State park is close to Kahului

Construction on the pier at Lahania. Tenders are a bit problematic during normal times with all of the other boat traffic. Worse with the pier under construction.

The Good News:  Gov. Ige is allowing county Mayors to plan for their islands.

The Not so Good News:  Safe Travels will be in effect until January 28th.  So unless it includes cruise ships arrivals, it's going to be challenging for January 4 and 19 voyages.
