We  just bought our 100 shares (after more than 10 yrs on RCI lol) and my DH sent the form electronically last week, but we've heard nothing back.  It's for our b2b Nov 28 and Dec 5 on HOTS.  I know the site doesn't say a couple of days turn around so we're being patient.   We had some profits in our investments to play with so we have bought several individual stocks over the last year.  It's not something we would normally do if we weren't in fabulous shape for retirement but wish we'd bought last year when it was a lower price lol.

I emailed my request for our 11/28 & 12/5 Anthem & received $100 within a few days just a few days ago. Seems like emailing has a faster turn around time then using their electronic form.

The shareholder should show up in the cruise planner as funds available to use pre-cruise.

We always email and get the credit in a few days.  We have a December cruise and I emailed and got a response that the credit was approved and would show up on my account by the second day of the cruise.  Between X and RC I have 5 other cruises booked and all the other credits showed on the cruise planner to use before the cruise.

The evidence is overwhelming.  Use email, not the electronic submission link.

What do you send in the email, besides a pdf of the proof of ownership statement?

I include Booking ID in the subject line.

I include Name, address, phone #, email, ship name, sail date, and booking ID (reservation #) in the body of the email.

Probably more than you need to include.

Thanks.  DH sent the email and we got the automated response that it was received.

I just applied for mine yesterday for our cruise with you on Harmony.  Used the online form, and sent statement with blacked out info that I didn't want shown.

Worried it won't apply since it is under the 3 weeks they want you to do in advance.

I also filled out the info for upcoming January, February, and May cruises. (7 total).

First time trying this.....hope it works.  😮

I bought our 100 shares during the Covid down time...much to my Brokers disgust (He dislikes that stock as it kept going down)...but I have gained money on it now since the upturn on cruising has happened.  I get to tease him now.  😉

Good suggestion.  Wish I had done that...but for now...will see how the electronic version works.

For the next time though, will take your advice.  🙂

I'll do our April cruises when we get back from Nov/Dec ones.  Our CFP is open to most of our suggestions as we've done very well over the last 20 years with him and have plenty for retirement.  Over the last one to two years we've bought John Deere, Pfizer, RCI, GE and at least one other at about 10K per transaction.   So, we'll see where they all go.  Not even sure what we'll do with the OBC.  We already get 5 drinks/day and aren't doing any excursions.  Maybe play in the casino as I usually bring about that much for that purpose on each cruise anyway.

I always prepay my tips in advance...paid...done, just padding with extra cash in hand as needed on top of that.

Same thing as you...sometimes tough to find ways to spend the OBC.  Sooo...decided to not prepay the tips and let them charge me each day out of my OBC balance for this next couple of cruises.  (Actually stopped adding the grats to each reservation since they were getting cancelled like Raid on Roaches.  😮 ).

Not prepaying was one less thing to track down for refunds once they were cancelled.

This will be a first to have the tips taken out of the OBC, ......will see how it works out.

That is my experience. I initially used the electronic form and never heard anything back.Yesterday sent an email and now my credit is there.

Took everyone's advice and sent an email this morning as follow up to the ignored electronic form I filled out.   Took just 2 hours, first got a confirmation of email sent...then shortly after...an email telling me they applied the OBC.

Checked to be sure...and there it was.  🙂  Wow...definitely the way to go!  Thanks for those that gave me that idea!!

I filled out the form and didn’t hear back so called them.  The person I spoke to said that my credit had been posted on October 3, but I hadn’t sent in the form until November 1, so that was a different OBC.  She then said it wouldn’t show up until I was on the ship, which from what I am reading here, isn’t correct either.  Suggestions of what to do?

Did you book direct or with a TA?  If you booked direct go into your cruise page, and click on cruise planner...then it should show up either in a box pop up. Or look  on the upper line to see it.  But your cruise planner won't show up until around 45 days in advance.

I gave up on the electronic form....and emailed them.  Heard back and was credited within  2 hours.

Shareholder OBC will show in cruise planner regardless of booking direct or via a TA.

IIRC, cruise planner is available as soon as a deposit is made, although there are some things that are not available until a later date.

BTW, I've had shareholder OBC appear in cruise planner as much as 15 months prior to sailing (maybe longer).

I just received confirmation in 24 hours.

Amounts are showing in my Cruise Planners.

🙂

This is what I've always done too and I've had the same results.

Thanks...have never used a TA to book a cruise...so was not sure if it worked the same.

First time taking advantage of Share Holder credit for me.  Thought I read that the broker statement you sent them had to be no more than 3 months dated before the cruise.  Maybe I read that wrong.

Was just happy to get some  bennies from being a stockholder.  🙂

I am glad  i have found this thread, though I still have not gotten results from email submission last night.

The electronic forms never produce any result, either an auto acknowledgement or actual posting of shareholder credit.

After finding this thread last night I went ahead and sent 2 emails at around 9pm.  Then this afternoon I called the 954-628-9325 opt 3.  After a long hold got a nice lady trying to help - she could not find the emails so I resent it with her own email address and the shareholderbenefit email address.  There must be some latency as she said not receiving it.  She offered to send a Test email to me and I could reply to the test email with the broker statement attached, and the remaining info (she did see the upcoming 12/4 and 12/12 B2B on Odyssey sailings).

When her test email arrived me, my email to her also arrived her end.  So she got the info but she said she could not do anything from her end because the sailing date is too close.  She would however get the dept which actually handles the OBC to work on it based on the info received.  Once she hear back from the other dept she would then either call my cell or send me an email.  She also said the best way to contact her would be via email now I have her email address.

So hopefully sometime tomorrow I would receive an answer on the request.   If they could not do the Dec 4th they should be able to do the Dec 12th I hope as the Dec 12th is 18 days away.

Unfortunately we do not have such luck.

I also sent the request thru the web multiple times a week or more ago without any result.  Therefore after finding this thread last night, I sent my email last night around 9pm.

Did not receive anything by this afternoon so I called using the number 954) 628-9325 Opt 3.  Well despite the lengthy talk with the  rep who actually was NOT in the shareholder benefit dept but some dept called Customer Experiences, I got an email this evening from her, that they have not had any record of the request or any credit approval.  Of course there is no approval if there is no record of request!

She then instructed me to contact my cruise agent to see if they have received it - How could my cruise agent would have received anything related to this?!  And if the answer is negative, to RESUBMIT the request on each cruise individually again on the Website which everyone on this thread said it was USELESS.

So frustrating.

I then received an email from a Customer Experiences Dept about she is my personal contact point on all sorts of things.  There is a toll free number.  So I called.  It turned out she is a work from home rep but she seems willing to help.  She could not find anything on the request as the previous rep.  However she said she would check with her supervisor to see how they can help...  I am waiting on the phone right now...

Well, she could not help because they did not gave access.  Her suggestion is to resend the email and then call tomorrow morning.

I think the key is the email has to reach someone in that dept.  Otherwise nothing would happen, even calling the 954 number.

> Nov 21st  - submitted my request via email with an attached MS Word doc & brokerage statement*

> Nov 22nd - received Shareholder Benefits Team email reply that OBC have been approved/applied

> Nov 23rd - OBC reflected in my online Cruise Planner!

*I just update my saved Word doc each time I submit my request and  my sanitized qtrly brokerage statement that only reflects my name, address and my RC holdings. I always get timely responses.
