Well, after all that walking, running, transporting, it was time for a Windjammer breakfast

Speaking of transporting, saw this worker walking up the North Star while we were under way.

That's a pretty hefty piece of equipment. I wonder how many rams are actually required, and how many are for redundant for safety's sake.

Walking in the opposite direction, you still move 300 yards in the same direction as before, there will not be a minus sign, you will have moved 1000  yards , 700 yards in the ships direction, then 300 yards in the ships direction.

AS engineers, we can't let this go.

Maybe I'll join back in tonight after a couple of glasses of wine.☺

But then you may need to factor in relative wind speed and direction, and determine if the arm motion is factored in to how it is computing steps and distance.

And the song “Against the Wind” keeps playing in my head.

What a relaxing day at sea today. Tonight is Formal Night.  Yes, that is what they call it on Odyssey.

Getting my tux on now.  I wonder how many scofflaws there will be tonight?  I can see a photo op for us.

Odyssey has 2 wonky elevators, one to get to deck 16 to reach Playmakers , and the other at North Star.  I use a rollator to get around, an old back injury causes a lot of back pain for walking any kind of distance, or standing for any length of time.

The Playmakers requires you to hold the button to keep the lift moving, and it stopped a couple of times going up.  Fortunately there was a crewmember with us. The trip back down worked well, I guess gravity helps.

The on at North Star was interesting.  There are 2 doors, one on the outside, that a crew member has to open, then the inner door could be opened.  The crewmember who was operating the ride was with us, and when we got off, he pounded on the window to the other crewmember to come open the outer door.

I might have seen someone with a tux, but more shorts and tshirts

Was up before sunrise this morning, and made our first trip to Starbucks.  This was their posted menu for drinks.

Ordered two tall Carmel lattes and paid with the app.  This was the total bill for the two of them.

Not sure if they are using Royal’s fuzzy math, or if it just cost extra to beam them over from Symphony, but I couldn’t figure them out to get to that amount. 🤷

It looks like you were charged $5.75 per drink, plus 18% gratuity.  I don't know about the stars earned thing, though.

So we made the rounds for pictures after dinner.  Actually, I was surprised how many tuxes there were tonight.  Maybe it is the slightly longer itinerary, or some were just ready.

So this is just a photo from our cabin, and not a professional one.  It may be a first for cruise critic, because this may be the first photo of me. 🤣🤣

Of course, I had to coordinate the mask with the tux. 😂

So useful (or useless) bit of information #3 for this class of ship.

Pretty useful info to me.  I didn't realize they charge based on sea/port days.

We did the North Star when the Quantum first came out and yes, not much to see but the sea.

We did the I-Fly on embarkation day years ago.  We had so much to do we needed to get started as soon as we got out of the windjammer!

I haven’t seen that option yet.

Thanks. Now that I think about it,is probably paused due to Covid. She is Supposed to have it like her sister ships do/did. Loving your post will be on Odyssey in March 2022. You are giving us a great tour of the ship. That Tux looks Sharp.

Looking fantastic Mark. I love this tux especially with the vest. Cheers to you. You look great. Also can you find out what's in that Cozumel Sunrise? Looks interesting. Enjoy your evening.
