kebrown Posted January 14, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2022 Does anyone know which sunset veranda cabins on the Edge have the largest balconies? Are all of balconies on the Edge sunset veranda cabins the same size?

IMHO, it appears the two in the center are slightly wider, so that's what we booked on Apex. They do not seem to vary in size as much as the SV on the S Class ships. RICCruisers Posted January 14, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 14, 2022 See this photo. The largest balconies are in the middle on Deck 6, then 7,8,9 etc.

jelayne Posted January 14, 2022 #5 Share Posted January 14, 2022 There is no deck 6 SV's on the E class. I would avoid deck 7 due to possible noise from Eden. The middle deck 8 SVs would be my preference.
lola2013 Posted January 14, 2022 #6 Share Posted January 14, 2022 I've sailed in both 9309 and 10271 on Edge...both very large. Plenty of space for two chairs, two loungers and a table.

My late night routine is a glass of wine on my balcony before I go to bed. Never heard anything other than the soothing sounds of the ship’s wake.
Lastdance Posted January 14, 2022 #8 Share Posted January 14, 2022 (edited) So, the middle cabins starting with deck seven and up, but it is certainly not a huge difference. Personally, I would rather be up higher rather than lower. The Sunset Suites have the largest balconies; they are my go-to! Second, SV on deck 11, center -11274. That's just my preference. Actually, all the aft cabins/suites are just awful, awful and awful! Edited January 14, 2022 by Lastdance
Rare 81Zoomie Posted January 14, 2022 #9 Share Posted January 14, 2022 Which E class aft cabins have the largest overhang for shade? They all appear fairly exposed.

Stayed in both back in July.

chamima Posted January 15, 2022 #21 Share Posted January 15, 2022 Are these awful Sunset Verandas like the old balconies on the S class ships and not like the infinite variety on the newer ships?

They are under the OVC, so prone to some noise for sure, but it depends on your ability to tolerate some scrapping and other sounds at different times in the day and night. I was on deck 11, but in a Sunset Suite. To me from my point of view, the overhang looked to be the same. My balcony always had just enough shade to squeeze in a chair or lounger, but we were crossing the Atlantic with my cabin mostly facing west, southwest on the corner. I was in 11268. daydreamer16 Posted January 16, 2022 #24 Share Posted January 16, 2022 Yeah, I was concerned about noise from above too on deck 12. Will probably try to book on 10 or 11. This will be for New Zealand so not sure what weather will be like. Lots to research, thanks for your input!
MamaChach Posted April 8, 2022 #25 Share Posted April 8, 2022 I am looking to book a SV in 2023. We have only stayed midship. Can anyone with experience in both SV and midship please tell me the difference in feeling motion? THANKS
