Crismess669 Posted January 17, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2022 So I had to sign into another device to use this site. Cutting edge technology here. Can I wear black jeans to the MDR and Cucina on non-formal nights?

kwokpot Posted January 17, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2022 You can wear it on Formal nights too.
BallFour4 Posted January 17, 2022 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2022 You sure can. We wear shorts and sneakers or boat shoes and a Tommy Bahama type shirt to dinner on non-cruise elegant nights. All within the suggested dress guidelines. .
klfrodo Posted January 17, 2022 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2022 Of course you can. Even on formal nights. There might be a few uptight people who tilt their nose in the air, but that is not a YOU problem. That is a THEM problem.
jsglow Posted January 17, 2022 #6 Share Posted January 17, 2022 You are 100% within the guidelines on Cruise Casual nights. Enjoy.

JEANMR1 Posted January 17, 2022 #9 Share Posted January 17, 2022 Basically we cruise carnival because we hate dressing up. Our rules for the kids are no completely athletic looking shorts and no oversized logo teeshirts. That might be OK too and I wouldn’t judge, but I like making my kids wear something slightly different. We do dress up for elegant night if we choose to go to it. We decided the next cruise we are not going to it because we hate packing for it. A little known fact is if you really want the lobster tails you can get them in the other restaurants on elegant night if you are on the Mardi Gras

This is Carnival.
deliver42 Posted January 17, 2022 #11 Share Posted January 17, 2022 You can even wear the dark jeans on formal nights. In fact, I've done that with a dress shirt, no tie, but with a blazer.
Rare mdin Posted January 17, 2022 #12 Share Posted January 17, 2022 This next cruise will be the first that I'm not packing my suit and ties. Instead, I'm bringing some chinos and slacks and a couple of button down long sleeve shirts (for formal night).
joelheather Posted January 17, 2022 #13 Share Posted January 17, 2022 On Carnival just wearing clean underwear is dressing up to most folks. So dark jeans is like formal wear.
Rare ledges1 Posted January 17, 2022 #14 Share Posted January 17, 2022 I never pack a coat and tie on Carnival. Slacks and golf shirt on night when shorts are not allowed (aka Elegant Night).
Rare BlerkOne Posted January 17, 2022 #15 Share Posted January 17, 2022 Haven't worn a tie or jacket on Carnival in years.
