Maybe he can tell you how to get from the airport and to hotels and to the port. For sure he will know Southampton lol. So the jubilee is starting in London and ending in texas lol. We live 300 miles away Jane but have sailed from Southampton over 25 times so have answered your friends questions. Graham.

The London underground trains run to Central London from Heathrow. From your London hotel you could pre book a taxi to Southampton or get a South West train to Southampton central. The train station is 8 minutes taxi to West Quay hotels and cruise terminals. For the best price book Southampton hotels on line in plenty of time. The Leonardo hotel is nice and close to West Quay shopping centre and City cruise terminal used by Royal Caribbean. We always stay at The Premier Inn West Quay which is opposite the main shopping centre and restaurants. Thank you for all that info! We will probably stay a few days in London, and then at least one night at the port. Hopeful that COVID will long be just a memory by then.

Lots of questions, call in to PVP but don't know how much he knows about details like getting from airport in London to Southampton. I'd love to take the train if available, 60 miles from London. When my husband first suggested this cruise I thought he was nuts, just ignored him. But with the tickets sales opening today, I started to think it would be good. Tickets aren't as high as I thought they'd be. Puzzled about why you can't see below deck 4 on the deck plans, would like more details about the ship but don't know where to look other than Carnival's website. At least there are direct flights from Austin airport to London! https://www.nationalexpress.com/en National Express has direct coach service to Southampton from LHR and LGW (Heathrow and Gatwick) Usually under 10 pounds.

Jasonsterling Posted January 25, 2022 #30 Share Posted January 25, 2022 I booked the first sailing out of Galveston this morning. Super excited to see this ship there and absolutely can't wait to be onboard her! It looks like a really different ship from past Carnival offerings in several ways. Still almost two years away though, lol. I've never booked that far ahead before.

There is lots to see in London like Buckingham Palace,Harrods,Madame Tussauds,The London eye,The Tower of London to name a few but pre booking is essential except for Harrods department store. If you like Downton Abbey Highclere castle is about 35 miles from Southampton in Newbury but pre booking is essential. If you can spend more than 2 nights in London but 1 night is okay for Southampton unless you want to go to Highclere ( Downton Abbey) Happy to help if you want any more information. Graham. Standard balconies were about $900 more than interior rooms for 3 passengers but did offer $200 OBC, but we just don't spend enough time in the room to need a balcony for that much more in cost (which equates to more than gratuities+parking+gas, plus even a Friday night hotel if we choose to do that). We had a square interior on the Mardi Gras in September because they look larger on the deck plans and we like to avoid the entry/closet/bathroom door cluster in the hallway. I don’t think it was really any larger than the others, and it had some other issues. I use one of the drawers to store my hairdryer/accessories and makeup, and leave the drawer open while I am using them. In the square interior, it is impossible to open the drawers when sitting on the ottoman in front of the mirror. Space is that tight in the interior rooms. We changed to a premium interior for the February 5 sailing for the extra room (205 sq ft vs. 158) and the sofa, since there’s is nowhere to sit other than the bed and that very heavy, hard to move ottoman. The price difference was only $134 total.

Cruzmomma77 Posted January 26, 2022 #48 Share Posted January 26, 2022 I saw the email about the new ships. I started daydreaming. I started reading the posts. You know what you guys make me want to do? ~ReTiRe!! ~ But I have about 20 more years, unless I win the lottery! 🤣 I will live vicariously through the lives of the TA travelers and dream about the days I can book multiple b2b’s. Until then, 5-8 night cruises occasionally, and dreaming of CC posts. 😜
