If only 2100 are USA/Uk there must be very mixed nationalities on board.

He said 60 something nationalities.

Our cabin: 6622 obstructed balcony. I chose this based on the preliminary prediction made by @twangster as to which would be the best/worst cabins in terms of obstruction. As you can see from the pics, it's hardly obstructed at all. The one next door, 6224, is even better but is a 3-berth cabin, so was not available to us.

Primo spot for sure, like the view. Not sure what is under your cabin, any noise issues?

Somehow, 115% capacity in the COVID era doesn't sound right.

Biker, who wonders when/who will declare the COVID era over.

Outside, there's a promenade with some seating. And inside, it's accesses and Wonderland. So we've not been bothered by any noise, although I guess if a big noisy group gathered in the seating area we would potentially hear them.

I guess he could have read the numbers wrong. Our cabin steward told us approximately 4500.

Welcome to CC.

Sometimes earlier time slots become available after a few days - keep checking the app.

Thank you, I really appreciate your help. We are checking the app 2 or 3 times per day, but just wanted to know if there is any chance to get an earlier slot for this cruise 🙂

The earliest slot was 11.30 am. I got it as soon as the times opened up but it's definitely worth checking back, as Biker said.

Hey everyone, hope you can post a few things for me.  I am on this cruise in July celebrating my 50th anniversary.  My family is all going on this cruise.  My husband and I are regular cruisers but this is the first Europe vacation for my children and grandchildren.  We are planning a wedding celebration in Santorini which we have been to many times but I am worried about the cable car wait and if there are any restrictions getting off the ship.  RC has not been helpful when I have asked questions.  Could someone let me know how things were getting off on Santorini and any special requirements you may have had besides the testing to board in Civitacheccia?  Thanks  --you could email me directly

Keep up the posts, well done! of course have fun, dotn worry about us! 🤣

We are on after you get back, 16th, been on the Ody and loved it, excellent ship.

Q - when checking in, did you hear or talked to anyone about testing requirements? My wife and I have a Letter of Recovery and our +ve PCR covid test results and understand from all I have read we dont need to test. So just curious if anyone else was in a similar situation?

OH and the dreaded tendering 'boat tickets' I have witnessed 'sh!t shows' during this process before, hope its not bad this time! lol

Thanks...

Yeah.  I think technically, 4198 is 100% if they count 2 people in every cabin are filled.  Their max capacity, every bed, is 5510.  That's insane.

I heard Carnival Spirit (?) was a mess because they did not have enough quarantine cabins.  We'll see how this plays out.

For the certificate of recovery in lieu of the test, I believe it has to be dated no more than 90 days before the cruise, not the usual 180 days validity period that most European countries are currently practising, so you need to be mindful of that. But if you're within that period then you don't need a test.

The MDR continues to be a madhouse with the staff running about like the proverbial scalded cats, so service was quite slow.

I don't know if it's just the My Time Dining bit that's such chaos or if the traditional seatings are too. It's so different to our cruise last September on Harmony where we were assigned the same table every night because we had pre-booked for the same time every night.

That would be great. ☺️

Am I right in thinking you came over on the transatlantic?

If you want to chip in with any information on the thread, you're more than welcome. Additional perspectives are always valuable.
